Ain't no money in that fight. Wouldn't hate seeing it, but I feel like Cotto is looking for a nice payday to go out on.

If he's just looking for the best possible fight, the winner of this fight could be the guy doe I suppose.

That's Cotto's problem. He's the one who set the timer on his career. He wants to have a big fight to close out his career but choses a date in which the best possible opponents are more than likely going to be unavailable, or who represent too much risk, or smaller guys or are coming off at least one KO loss. If he pushes his deadline back a month or two his options open up a lot.

You beat me to it. The score cards don't say what my eyes saw.

Yeah but it is Cotto last fight in NY it is really nothing to sell honestly. It is going to sell out regardless of who he fights. So yeah I guess it is up to him if he wants to go out with a Big Check and a Loss or a Good Check and a chance go out on top

All I can say about the Cotto vs Alverez fight is fans should watch the fight without the sound up so the announcers don't infuence the rounds. I honestly thought Cotto beat Alverez by a comfortable margin! I know thats its not a popular decision but I'm sticking to it. I've watched it a few times and don't see the blow out for Alverez that the money guys have convinced everyone they saw. In the end it goes down as a win for Alverez but I ain't buying it

Lotta choices, but in the end, Cotto may balk at the low(er) money he'll likely be offered... since he isn't top elite status anymore. Someone said Brook, which would likely be his best money option, but Brook can **** and he's faster than Cotto. But even still, maybe Miguel goes for that mega payday in England. Wouldn't blame him, just like I wouldn't blame him for taking on a lower money 'safe' fight.

                      the other Brit. Amir Khan.

way more interesting than brook because cotto could get a highlight reel ko for his finale.
