It is a ludicrous notion to want a champ to fight other champs? This is what I am talking about. Idiots like this, say no why fight Wilder he is only 36-0 with 35 kos and the WBC belt. Why would AJ not fight as many bums as possible and let Wilder fight all the top guys? AJ has two belts, and the best fighters the one with the biggest cahones, guys like Ward, don't make excuses to avoid the best. Why on earth should Joshua just give Wilder/Ortiz a unification? That's a ludicrous notion that he won't be doing all he can to keep hold of the belts he's won. Wilder v Ortiz can still happen with just Wilder's WBC title on the line.
Wilder v Ortiz for the WBC just means that Ortiz get's a title shot now rather than in 6 months time and it means that Wilder has removed one more obstacle between a Wilder v Joshua fight.
Why would Wilder give AJ an unification fight? Oh, that's right, because Wilder wants to fight the best. What an idiot. Wilder should be like G and wait another five years before trying to fight anyone with a chance. By then he will be top 3 p4p if he picks all opponents he knows he can ko.Comment

You seem to have totally got confused with my post... I was quoting a guy talking about Joshua giving up his WBA belt so Wilder v Ortiz could be a WBC & WBA unification fight. Admittedly the first line in my post wasn't all that clear but if you'd bothered to read the rest of it it should have been clear as day that I was referring to Joshua willingly giving away his WBA belt; the comment that Wilder v Ortiz can still happen with just the WBC belt on the line and the fact that I talked that Wilder v Ortiz removes a hurdle to the Wilder v Joshua fight (the one we all want) should have given you a clue, but alas you read the first line and went off on one like a typical keyboard warrior.

It's been a pretty dark time here recently for those who want to talk real boxing, no doubt about it.I agree but I'm grateful their is something up on the main page as opposed to every damn article related to Floyd vs MacGruber. It's starting to feel like a boxing forum again.
I don't see these fights happening any time soon, what's the latest with Ortiz vs Wilder, is it any closer to actual fruition and actually being signed ?Comment

You should try to keep up with the news. Pulev says he needs 4 months training and turned down a fight this fall.
Leaves AJ open to face Wilder.Comment

No it doesn't. Joshua has 2 belts not one like BUMSQUAD. No Pulev means Ortiz. WBA and IBF mandatory are due. Unlike the WBC, there champs actually have to face their mandatoriesComment

No one has to give wilder anything thats his JOB to actually fight relevant fighters..and its long over due. Wilder should really refund money to some matches he had. He can kick and scream all he wants the matches he wants to make arent available when he wants them.....Ortiz's team needs to actually get something right and make this happen.
And people need to give Wilder credit for forcing a quality fight...in the past year he's been kicking and screaming to get a champion caliber guy in the ring. None of this would be happening if he didn't push Haymon for a good scrap.
Haymon's team is going to pay Stiverne that step aside cash, and he'd be smart to take the 500k or whatever it'll be. He has zero chance of beating Wilder anyway.
The guy had SEVEN months to fight Stiverne already ...not a peep since recently now is not fighting him and thats bc he wanted to coast to 2018. Against who? We'll see...... None of this would be happening if wilder actually stepped his game up 2 years ago from the beginning and fought better guys......and no povetkin doesnt give him an excuse for his ENTIRE resume...do you guys even look at this stuff? lol
You also dont PUSH anyone to make a good scrap...he hasnt even fought a Mandatory yet to get better fights, just stop...lolLast edited by juggernaut666; 08-31-2017, 07:21 PM.Comment

He has a ibf mando he wants to take instead of WBA mando with Ortiz, ortiz already on record and given a deadline for Joshua take fight with him or be stripWhy on earth should Joshua just give Wilder/Ortiz a unification? It would be too logical. No way it happens, at least any time soon.
But it should happen. I think Ortiz beats Wilder, then Joshua beats Ortiz. But predicting and actually watching the fight are two quite different things. But holy moly would those be great fights or what?
