One thing I noticed about Joshua is that he wasn't handled with kid gloves. He has fought his way up fighting decent opponents and then going right for Klitchko. Maybe Joshua will be a true champion and fight all the best guys right out of the gate. That is how true legends are made. I hope to see it

Wilder is a *****... milking the title just like danny garcia did... if u backing wilder u dont know boxing and are blind to whats in front of u.. he lied about he wont be one of those champions to sit up with the belt or fight nobodys he said this himself after winning the title and turns around and does it anyway... how josua with barely 20 fights goes after klitscko but wilder with 36 fights hasnt fought anyone A level... he should be stripped

Bare in mind all the talk of Joshua having until 3rd September has come from Ortiz' camp rather than WBA, whereas the IBF themselves said Joshua has to face Pulev next so the likelihood is that the WBA will agree for Joshua to face Ortiz after Pulev so he isn't in a situation where he has no choice but to drop a belt.

          Wilder vs. Ortiz

I can understand to a point where everyone doubts Wilder because he hasn't fought any big names, but I personally don't need to see him fight anyone else to know the dude can **** and he's not slow either. I hope he fights Ortiz because if he can KO Ortiz and I think he will but that will show everyone that he is the best Heavyweight hands down..

Call it what you will but I haven't seen anyone else fighting anyone either other than AJ vs Klitch .. I pray that Wilder and Ortiz goes down cause If Wilder can take him out nothing else needs to be said..

Don King still has pull. PAYING to keep Stiverne in mandatory status no doubt. Him and Arum both need to retire already.

Yupp. He has himself in great position with pressure on both title holders. Kudos to his team!

Don't hate brother that's not true. Harmon out a his fighters against big names all the time and Wilder BEEN actively and aggressively calling out AJ. YouTube Wilder call out AJ and you will see plenty videos spanning a few years now.

Agreed. Team AJ are not hype on Wilder fight imo.

There's not been a peep out of the WBA since Pulev said 'no thanks' saying that AJ has to fight their mandatory challenger next.

Even so, AJ's promoter tried to make a fight between Wilder and Whyte saying he would put up stepaside money to put off a Stiverne mandatory (Stiverne said he wasn't willing), so why not do the same for a unification.

The WBC have said they will do ANYTHING IT TAKES to make a unification happen, so they're willing to put the mandatory aside.

We all know AJ isn't fighting Pulev next and I'll bet anything you want that he doesn't fight Ortiz NOR a WBA mandatory next (if Ortiz fights Wilder as expected, they won't make him fight Ustinov, who is next in line, right away) ... so why NOT at least TRY to make a unification?

Why would any boxing fan not want every effort made to unify the heavyweight titles?

Except he is fighting him next and even if he wasn't, he'd still be forced to make a mandatory defence as the iBF (an organisation that actually has consistency in enforcing such defences) would insist on him defending against the next guy in line.
