Not for me though it was his best weight. I struggle to call him A class.
Very handy fighter I just don't think he's quite what I'd call A class/level.

pacquiao did not beat morales in his prime. this myth has to be stopped. you guys probably weren't watching boxing when morales was prime if you really believe that manny beat him when he was at his best.


what gives strength to the morales win for manny was that he got a hell of a lot better in the series, and after it. he was a much more complete fighter at welterweight, even if he was very small for the weight.

I never said Pacquiao had beaten a Prime Morales, I said Erik Morales fought Prime Pacquiao, (physically prime but not yet refined in his skills), but he was far from shot like some would claim when he was beaten by Pacquiao, and also but Pacquiao had beaten Prime Barrera and Prime Marquez at their best weight class.

But then I can easily say by that logic how much better was Kovalev than Boone and Chilemba? It's easy to do that. A level fighters still lose fights or struggle in fights.

And also, Casamayor didn't knock out Corrales. Infact, it was Corrales who rocked him at the end of the 6th!!

He tore his mouth open and got awarded a TKO that classifies as a TKO win. Kovalev dominated Boone in the rematch and Chilemba, mostly an off night idk.

Castillo got stopped 4 times, and had a controversial win over Johnson in their 2nd fight before he fought Floyd.

By today's standards (TBE, only the 0 matters), he's a bum since he lost to non-elite fighters (like posters here said about Lemieux losing when he was 21-22, Roman G. getting robbed, etc.).

If Floyd was such a cherry picker, then why did he give immediate rematches to the only 2 guys who came close to beating him in Castillo and Madaina? Seems like afgter he fought each of them the 1st time the toughest possible fight for him would be rematches which he made happen.

Did Pacquaio give immediate rematches to Marquez after his draw and controversial decisions over him? Nope, he made him wait while he fought other guys. Did SRL give immediate rematches to Hagler or Hearns? Why not?

a typo, maybe? otherwise there's no way to interpret the post other than to say you were calling marquez, barrera, and morales prime at the time of their defeats to pacquiao.

At what weight? Pretty sure none of these were even in his division at the time.
MAB didn't even step up to lightweight until he fought Khan by that time Castillo was probably all the way up at Welter.

You got a point, it is wrongly worded. But I stand my point though, besides Morales, Pacquiao beat the prime versions of Marquez and Barrera at their best weight.
