WTF! Are you lot mad!? Did you watch the footage or just see these still pictures?!
He's HUGE! His back is monstrous, he also looks rapid very fast. He's going to break Canelo down holy **** - he looked terrifying in that public workout.
I cannot wait for this demolition job!!!Comment

This is the REAL fight folks should save their pennies for! While I believe GGG will win by later round stoppage this isn't a for gone conclusion. Canelo has been a protected fighter no doubt and he even gave up the middleweight title to keep from fighting GGG 18 months or so ago there is no denying he's a good fighter that brings a lot to the table. Dela Hoya protected his meal ticket to allow Cenelo to mature and build mass as well as confidence after being just about shut out by Mayweather. While I believe he'll be the bigger guy on fight night I doubt he'll have the punching power to hurt GGG, the question will come down to how he handles GGG's power. If he can take a beating he has a chance to win this on points especially since we all know that boxing scores are not always on the up and up. The scoring slant could help or hurt him depending on whose promoters has the most influence. I suspect since Canelo is the younger fighter he will be looked at as the future cash cow and close rounds will go to him. If GGG stops him it won't matter but don't be surprised if Canelo takes a beating and is stopped but is ahead on the scorecards.Comment

Golovkin had a much longer break in between camps than usual, so he started this camp heavier than usual and he was a little heavier than usual at the 30 day weight check.
He's probably still a couple of pounds heavier than usual at this stage of his training, but he looked as sharp as ever in that short workout.Comment

Don't forget there was speculation that Golovkin over-trained for Jacobs. Sanchez aggressively denied this, but of course he would, if he admitted it it would be admitting he didn't do his job.Golovkin had a much longer break in between camps than usual, so he started this camp heavier than usual and he was a little heavier than usual at the 30 day weight check.

I'm seeing a slight adjustment in training for this fight as deliberate and calculated based on how the Jacobs camp went.Comment

Yeah, GGG vs Jacobs was supposed to happen in Dec 2016, but Jacobs asked for a postponement. According to Abel, GGG then decided to go to Big Bear and do a full training camp before Xmas anyway.Don't forget there was speculation that Golovkin over-trained for Jacobs. He did that camp, had a break for Xmas, then came back and started another camp for the fight itself.
So Golovkin did two back to back high altitude training camps for Danny Jacobs. They must have decided that wasn't such a good idea, because they then decided to swerve a June fight with BJS and give GGG a rest before starting his next camp for Canelo.Comment

Another difference this time out - GGG has always stated he always trains for 12 rounds, and pretty sure he does, but there has always been that little guy on his shoulder whispering to him 'c'mon G, you know this isn't going 12....'.
Having gone 12 with Jacobs, and knowing Canelo isn't going to be an easy fight, I'm betting this is the first fight where he trains for 12 rounds and the little guy on his shoulder is saying 'forget anything I said before, this one might be 12....'.Comment
