Does GGG usually look this pudgy weeks out from the fight? Is it age, or just his body type? Forgot how he looked weeks ahead, in his other fights.

We sometimes think of a fighter at the weigh in (drained, standing straight up, posing, tightening their body, etc) on the scale and treating that as their comfortable and relaxed pose. When in reality, what you see in these photos is Triple G as a healthier mode.

He's casually training. Not posing. Probably loaded with water to sweat off. In the middle of punching and being relaxed vs. posing for a weigh in after draining for a couple of days.

I can't imagine he's done anything less in training for the biggest fight of his career.

Are facts "excuses" now? If so, I want to hear you, and every other GGG hater, say this, for the record.

Sergey Kovalev ALWAYS would have beaten Bernard Hopkins, at any age. Whether Bernard Hopkins was 26, 27, 30, or 32, Sergey Kovalev was just better. Their fight proved it. Kovalev is a better fighter than Hopkins ever was, at any point, and age had nothing to do with him winning all 12 rounds when they fought. Kovalev was simply better, and always would have been.
Go on then. Let's hear it. Age is just an excuse. Kovalev beat a prime Hopkins.
