Can people not see the obvious? GGG is clearly bigger for this fight because Canelo is a thicker opponent and GGG I'd assume would like to have more power with the weight.

If you look at GGG earlier fights he use to come into the ring looking a lot heavier and not as lean as he has been for the past 5-7 or so fights.

I'm starting to really favor GGG more and more in this fight. I just don't know if Canelo can hurt him. He couldn't do anything to an over the hill Cotto (as far as hurting or dropping him) and he hit him CLEAN, he couldn't hurt a walking zombie in Chavez Jr who was stopped right before their fight. I just don't know. Canelo is better defensively and is looking crazy sharp right now, but he has no footwork at all and will not be the larger man or puncher in the fight. I think speed and movement are GGG's downfall and Canelo has neither. I went from 60-40 even yesterday to 70-30 favoring GGG today. It will be a ****ing war and I'll be happy no matter who wins, but I just don't know if Canelo can keep GGG off of him.

I agree, seems like a lot of people are trying to dramatize his weight, his age, his "loss" to Jacobs, etc., It's like they want to erase all doubt from their minds that Canelo is "definitely going to win"

Dude its exactly the reason I sometimes hate coming to this website and even took this entire weekend off from visiting while the circus was in town. I miss when all that matter was who was fighting and that it was a worthy matchup, all we get now is drama loving idiots who turned the sport into a daytime soap opera. When these two names aren't enough and mofo's need to examine every minuscule detail you know boxing has changed for the worst among the fans.

Meanwhile the guys who have seen him for years and aren't affiliated with team Golovkin say he looks better physically than he has in years. I'll trust them than and Golovkin than people who are looking at a few pictures and video and coming up with their own opinion.

I watched his workout video, no doubt he and Canelo will be ready.

I'm seeing a slight adjustment in training for this fight as deliberate and calculated based on how the Jacobs camp went.
Sanchez is an *******, he's not a conditioning coach. Golovkin is doing 3 hours of running in the morning and then 3 hours of boxing. that's ******, no boxer needs to run that much. I blame loeffler and golovkin's manager for not getting him a good s&c coach, abel knows nothing about the bioenergetics of the sport, it's not easy to train an athlete properly.

I was confident in Golovkin but more so after the workout. Two things; Golovkin's power advantage is noticeable. I knew it existed before the workout but just look at the difference when these guys hit. Canelo is quicker and a solid defensive fighter but I can't see him avoiding Golovkin. I saw him bouncing around the ring a little but if he tries that he won't be able to maintain it. He'll gas and still get hit.

Second; DLH said yesterday the way to beat Golovkin is to get inside and that would be his game plan. I actually think this could work, if you have the right fighter. I don't think Canelo is the right fighter. I don't think he has the power or the style to fight on the inside (I'm thinking someone like Hopkins or James Toney later in his career). He might try it but he'll revert to fighting at a manageable distance.

Might sound like a bold prediction, but GGG on points. G's Power and speed are on the decline... BUT
G has the reach, length, and athleticism to beat Canelo over 12. G is a much more polished boxer, and he need only to review the tapes to see that blueprint to beat Canelo. He does not fight as well on the backfoot, either.
Jacobs did ok with GGG, but he took a ton of damage. I think G punched himself out trying to finish him off.
