    Joe Rogan said...
    - "But Conor did not seem like he was putting a lot of power in his punches. It looked like he was trying to be real active"

    - "Conor didnt really employ his big shot. He tried to pick and pop more than blast that left like he usually does...

Conor was more measured than he is in MMA. You never saw him commit to that famed 'Celtic Cross'. I think he thought he could/would have to go all 12...

He jabbed. He moved his feet. He landed one-two's. He probed. He countered. He landed upppercuts. But he didn't "go for" Mayweather, he never went full bore."

    Max Kellerman agrees...
    - "Conor McGregor, as most great fighters have, has an extremely high fighting-IQ. It's the reason he didn't really hit Mayweather with anything hard. He didn't load up on any punches...

Because Conor is smart enough to know, if I try to load-up on something, I'm not going to hit Floyd... so he quick-punched him. He used his speed and hit him with arm-punches..."

Boxing power is partially about being able to throw power shots at the right times. If you have a guy walking into you, literally walking crossing over his feet, you have chances to throw power shots. I personally think McGregor lacked the fundamentals to be able to throw power shots at short range while moving backwards. So, sure, if Floyd stood perfectly still at the perfect range, maybe McGregor could load up on a shot that could do some damage. That's true of all fighters. Most boxers do not load up on every shot, because they'd get tired. A guy like GGG has heavy hands that hurt you even when he's just throwing to make contact. McGregor is not in that class, period. He fought more like a Paulie, ironically, because that's prob around the ballpark of where his power is.

Joe, who is generally a rational guy, would be more credible stating that Connor simply doesn't have the power of a Maidana, Cotto, Canelo, or even a Mayweather.
Yet he chose to say this, which clearly shows his refusal to acknowledge the reality of the situation.
Max Kellerman said the same as Joe Rogan, essentially.

Conor took a more measured approach vs Floyd than he normally does.

                That's the point.
