Edit: Let me put into context
Schaub was talking about how Floyd said Connor wasn't that hard of a puncher.
Rogan interjected with " But Connor did not look like he was putting a lot of power in his punches."
It's not easy to put power in punches. When I first started sparring, it took me 2 months to have a decent power in my punches and this is only for the technique.

One other thing that you have to deal with is fear. The more you punch hard, the more you can expect to get punched hard. Subconsciously, it plays a huge role. It takes time to learn to control fear and overcome it. And some will never find a way to overcome it.

No one talked about it but Mcgregor was scared af. Just before getting in the ring and when he was in the ring. You could tell and as soon as Floyd hit him hard, Mcgregor had near to no power in his punches. Psychology plays a huge role in boxing.

Read the book "iron mike" by mike tyson, if you have the chance. It's a brilliant book about Cus D'amato who was a mastermind and a great psychologist. You will better understand the psychological aspect of boxing after reading this.

He landed the cleanest uppercut he could possibly land it it was soft as hell.

You could clearly see he can't crack an egg. You can feel a guys power even when you block it or it grazes you and Floyd literally laughed at it before deciding his power was so non existent that he could just walk right through him.

He wouldn't even do that to Guererro who is considered a realtively soft puncher.

Floyd would be a power puncher in UFC, no doubt, Somebody like GGG would be deadly in UFC gloves, people could get killed.

You are talking about a non-boxer, who relies on speed and groundwork. It takes a long time to adopt the correct foot position to deliver power shots in an instant.

Conor does not have the experience to make set ups that boxers have, so he was just taking opportunities as he found them, which always results in clumsy looking punches.

              Just saying........

I'm well aware he doesn't have the experience.

Which explains why he can't box and can't punch.

you are giving him way too much credit. he actually is not a big puncher. just because he kos white guys in mma who have no training interms of rolling with punches or tucking their chins doesnt mean he is a big puncher. Give me one of those mma guys coming face first with their chins up and i ko them too

                    A lot of arm punches!

Needs to learn to use his shoulder for a snap and hips too.

I'm not giving him too much credit, you would need to see my previous posts to understand that. I actually said once paulie exposed Connor as not having the type of power the MMA people were claiming that he had no chance.

However, on top of that, he wasn't even throwing with a lot of conviction, especially the jabs, he was just trying to score some points, which he did.
