He was very humble after the loss and far more likeable than he was in the build up, I hope he goes on to have a great career in the UFC rather than get exposed and gassed out again. Hes a hard worker no doubt about it.
He won't fight that much in the UFC, the money is in boxing.

He just failed at boxing. UFC is his bread and butter.

If I were McGregor I would fight Paulie and get every advantage, make it at 154 with the smaller Paulie. And get in better boxing shape. McGregor has a decent shot to beat Paulie and would make more in that fight than he would in any MMA fight. And a win would set him up for a big payday against the winner of Canelo-GGG. He'd get brutally KOed, but he might make $50 million for that fight. Fight Paulie for ~$10 Million and then Canelo-GGG winner for $50 million, or go back to MMA and fight for a few million a fight? That's an easy choice.

McGregor should box now and cash in. Then if he wants to do MMA after that he can go back to that, but the money for boxing is there right now, cash in.

          He's totally delusional.

I could go on all day about why that is but the main one for me was the when he said "Nate Diaz didn't cause me any problems"

The thing with Conor is that he seems to genuinely enjoy fighting. Of course the true test will be after he's made all this money but i think he will continue, whether it's UFC or Boxing. I'm sure losing will hurt him, but he does seem the kind of guy that accepts losing is part of being in the sport. Losing in the UFC doesn't seem to carry as much criticism as losing in boxing, especially if it's against another good opponent. In one sense, boxers and boxing fans need to adopt that mentality.

I'm sure he can go back to UFC and do what he does best. I could see him taking a good year out though.

I don't think anyone is that interested in seeing him box again though but ge could fight Paulie, there's still some appeal there for that one i think just because of the story. It just depends how much he can make from it. If the purse for fighting Paulie is similar to a UFC fight for Conor then i don't see any point in him boxing again.

Yeah, he'll be much richer and have less to worry about.

I think you are not the same after watching mcgregor dominate the first 5 rounds by mcgregor

He will retain all his cage fighting skills and be a better boxer in the cage than ever before. Putting up a decent fight against Mayweather will make him more confident than ever.
To your point he DEFINITELY made Canelo better but then again Canelo is a pupil of the game. Maybe Conor will take from this and be a better boxer in the cage or maybe it'll be to his detriment because he's back in mma world. We'll just have to wait and see. But like someone else said it's going to be hard to get up with silk pajamas to do road work.

He took a much more humiliating loss against Nate Diaz and came out of that fine.

Definitely more money in boxing for him outside of a third Diaz fight & if the interim belt gets won on Oct. 7 he's likely going to have to fight a one of two guys who are beasts on the ground & will 100% choke him out if they get Conor down.

Might be wise for Conor to go into boxing if the Diaz fight doesn't get lined up next or after the Diaz fight & fight Paulie. If he wins vs Paulie he can probably parlay that into another boxing match. And ideally the best situation for Conor in the UFC would be if GSP beats Bisping, moves down to 170 & beats Woodley & then Conor can comeback to the UFC to fight GSP in likely the biggest UFC fight of all time & for a title in a 3rd weight division. That would be the dream scenario for him.

                    GSP beats Bisping in Nov.
Conor vs Diaz III in Dec.
Conor vs Paulie on St. Paddy's Day in the ring
GSP beats Woodley in the first quarter of 2018
Conor vs GSP for international fight week in July

LOL highly unlikely I know, but fun to speculate on all the same.
