McGreggor isn't going to be the same

TBE took his soul like he does with most boxers he's faced. He'll lose his next fight whether boxing or MMA.

I believe he won't be the same because he made $80 million dollars.

It is the whole it's hard to get up at 6 a.m. when you're wearing silk pyjamas scenario.

I understand that boxing is a physical sport where damage is incurred but recent Floyd opponents hit the jackpot. It's prize-fighting and they've earned the biggest prize.

I would put money on Nate Diaz betting Conor McGregor in the 3rd fight.

The boxing training is going to set him back, he needs to have a little layoff before fighting MMA again as his body is not in MMA shape right now, it's in boxing shape. Boxing shape is better overall, but more it's just different, his body has to be made ready for MMA again.

He will be fine in MMA if he still has the drive. Mayweather really only put it on him for 2 rounds. Mayweather took the first 3 rounds off, the middle rounds he proved he had Conor figured out and then he blitzed him in the final 2 rounds. There wasn't much damage or soul taking going on.

Money is an accurate moniker for Floyd.

Most other fighters would have got beat a few times once they made that 'forever' money.

His obsession with money as well as his unrivalled skill kept him at the top imo.

I'd be like Darren Barker. If I made a big purse I'd be getting wiped out quick in my next fight and would not fight through any kind of injury.

The drive of these elite boxers is very impressive imo.

His confidence will never be the same, he believes all that "the secret" law of attraction, visualization stuff. He truly believed he was going to win this fight off the strength off all of that mystic mac stuff and it failed. He will never have the same confidence ever again, doubts will creep in much faster during fights when they get tough.

He was very humble after the loss and far more likeable than he was in the build up, I hope he goes on to have a great career in the UFC rather than get exposed and gassed out again. Hes a hard worker no doubt about it.

Mayweather always wins but I don't think he takes boxer's souls. They might learn something from fighting him. Canelo said the Mayweather loss was a good learning experience and he improved a lot. I think Conor will be better than ever and he will knock out Diaz if they fight again. He will retain all his cage fighting skills and be a better boxer in the cage than ever before. Putting up a decent fight against Mayweather will make him more confident than ever.

Yep the sexy bank account is always something to be aware of in this sport or any getting hit in the head sport. Boxing isn't running down the court & just working to stay in shape. Boxing & MMA are sports unlike most any other sports & when your bank account balance looks like a routing number that can change you.

L's are part of the reality anyone in a combat sport faces, but routing number caliber bank accounts are a entirely different animal & much rarer.

It wasn't even his sport. No reason to think the loss changes him unless it's for the better.
