Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: Now People See I'm No Hater, McGregor Can't Punch!

This past Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Floyd Mayweather scored a 10th round technical knockout over UFC superstar Conor McGregor in the main event of a Showtime Sports Pay-Per-View card. McGregor, making his professional boxing debut, had boasted he would knock out the 40-year-old Mayweather early but his lack of ring savvy betrayed him as Mayweather improved to 50-0 to surpass heavyweight great Rocky Marciano's 49-0 record for most wins without a loss or draw.

McGregor was throwing pitty pat punches with nothing on them. There was no power at all. I wouldn't be surprised if Paulie hits harder.

Which is a joke considering how big Connor is and punching rep he had, can you imagine somebody like Canelo GGG Kovalez etc in 4 once gloves, I swear they would kill them wide open MMA guys.

Pauline you won't last 1 round with McGregor.

If McGregor can do that to Floyd. I give you 1 round with Conor before you get KTFO lmao

              Here it is Folks.

Straight from the horses mouth. Pauline reflects how his ass got whooped and needs to work out lmao

              Starts @ 21:15

Interviewer to Paulie: The one that caught my eye is McGregor Malagnaggi 7-1. What are the chances?

Interviewer to Paulie: You were in the Gym this morning. Pretty early?

Paulie: Yeah, yeah, I've been working out. You know, I think I've learned my lesson to keep in shape. (after being beaten by a novice lmao)

When a little boy gets bullied, what does he do after he gets humiliated?

              He works out. lol

He had absolutely nothing on his shots, he could've been a very successful amateur boxer because of his timing and speed but you don't need so much power in the amateurs. as a pro he'd be a crafty gatekeeper for young fighters to build their records, he'd never become a legit world champion in pro boxing. Never had the technique to sit down on his shots without compromising timing and speed, every time he wanted to put power behind his shots he telegraphed them and when he wanted to quickly release a punch it had no power, that's exactly what they teach you in boxing, speed AND power, can't compromise one for the other, speed should bring about power if the technique is correct.

Maybe that's one of the reasons most MMA fighters ARE MMA fighters and not boxers because there has always been more money in boxing than in MMA but they figured they wouldn't make it in boxing so they turned to the new MMA. but I expect the next generation to have many more talented MMA fighters who didn't turn into MMA because they failed at something else since there's more money now in MMA than in any other combat sport.

Any boxer with more than 50-60% KO ratio would stop 99% of the top MMA guys in 4 Oz. gloves in a boxing match within 6 rounds, they're not used to that kind of power with 4 Oz. gloves.
