this fight reminded everyone yet again that as excellent a defense floyd has,his offense is just average

exactly. I over estimated Floyd a little too at this stage. I still would pick any 154 lb fighter with any ranking to kill Mcgregor inside 5.

He probably forced Floyd to come forward and make it into a brawl and won 3 rounds
Most elite fighters barely win a round against Floyd so yes Mcgregor did well considering hes an MMA fighter and not a boxer

If your knowledge of this sport is still in its infancy then you can ofc say Connor did things there.
It doesn't take so much to realize actually against whom he was fighting mathematically and making a distinction btw arm punches and punches. These will suffice to tell how hard Connor was beaten and humiliated.

I thought he did OK but when you put all the circumstances out there such as Floyd's inactivity, age, size difference, it makes you realize Conor might just be an average boxer. If he had fought a current boxer that is in his prime at Conor's weight, Conor would of definitely been out cold.

Although taking the circus act for what it was, having a man come out of his comfort zone, Conor looked awesome I think. He truly tried to give it his all for the lack of experience he had and even with all the factors I mentioned about Jr., he did well in that regard.

Though UFC can have Conor back, he is definitely more suitable for 5, 5 minute rounds, or whatever it is over there. He lacks the stamina to go hard in boxing and maybe even the power.

Conor might be an awesome boxer in UFC, but in actual boxing, he's OK, average. Just enough to keep Paulie honest, lol.

It happened more or less as I expected. McGregor never had a chance, and against an over the hill Floyd. Floyd had zero respect for him and just came forward for the most part, and when he wanted to turn it up, he tuned up McGregor something serious. I think it was a premature stoppage, but he was going down soon.

Any mma fan who seeks small moral victories amidst the one sided bloodshed is pathetic.
Kid, it was a Win-Win from the beginning. MMA/Conor had nothing to lose. Just like I said.

I picked Floyd to beat Conor; that he wouldn't come out for the 7th RD. Wishful-thinking, I hoped Conor would catch Floyd off guard a bit, stun Floyd, and jump on it.

I just wanted to SEE IT HAPPEN. **** all the talk, LETS SEE IT. I wanted to see Anderson Silva vs Roy Jones Jr... I wanted to see Nick Diaz vs Jeff Lacy... I'm extremely thankful that we actually got to see this one.

Mayweather vs McGregor was a beautiful thing.

            P.S.
Did you even watch/listen to the video? The poll options are posed in reference to the video a bit.

Stop with all this moral victory bs. A loss is a loss, "but I think Conor still won doe..."

Conor not only couldn't knock out Floyd, he was exposed as a pillow puncher in boxing.

He got walked down and all he could do was get blocked and foul.

It was entertaining because Floyd decided to just walk head first into a 170 lber, broke him down, and beat his ass.

Your whole point is that no matter how ****ty Conor might've done, he still did better than expected so after he got his ass beat you want to count it as a win... Not gonna fly after all of the **** talk that was getting thrown out before the fight.

There were myopic people saying that Conor would not even "land one punch"... that he had a "zero percent chance"... etc..

I want to hear from those folk.

Are you eating your crow or denying it's even on your plate?

The truth is, after last night, it is only MMA that has to evaluate things.

The best they had to offer was dominated by smaller, semi-washed up former great.

Knocked silly by a man no one in boxing considers a power guy.

That should mean some serious reassessment behind closed gym doors...
