He wasn't expecting Mcgregor to be that skilled, and actually outbox Floyd the first three rounds until he gassed. Mcgregor's cardio, and the corrupt ref, are the only reasons Mayweather won. I've said it all along, Floyd is overrated. His career has been built on matchmaking. It's easy to always control range when you fight guys with shorter reaches. Just control the outside with your reach, then if the opponent does get inside, just hold and the ref will let you do it all night long if you're the house fighter. And even with Mcgregor's bad gas tank, he might have still won if not for the corrupt referee not breaking them at length all night so he could catch a breath, and then the only time he did break them at length, and give a 20 second break in the action, was right after Mcgregor hurt Floyd to the body. Floyd didn't seem like he trained all that hard for this bout. He was strictly looking for the KO. In this particular fight, he was willing to bring ass in order to get ass. Despite the fact that Conor was naturally the stronger and bigger man.

conor was allowed to clinch, rabbit punch as much as he wanted, ref did only warn him no point deduction. floyd got no help from the ref, conor lost this fight because he has no stamina but he proved he can box. i knew he had no power but he has good footwork and is good at predicting his opponents next move.
