If he let it go on lets be fair Tureano would of took a further pounding. Its virtually always sustained beatings like that where fighters end up badly hurt.

Sometimes you have to save a guy from himself that was one of those times.

KOTY candidate and a FOTY candidate, quality fightcard.

Good win by Derevyanchenko. I know he's number 1 for GGG now. Interested to see how long it will be before he gets that shot.

As for Johnson it sucks for him. Not sure he's recovered from that Rotator cuff injury. Hopefully he gets another oppurtunity down the line.

I had Tureano losing almost every round, but This was 1 of Those, Competitive 1-sided Fights. Fun to Watch. Good stoppage.

Good fight. Johnson did his best. The Ukrainian is strong, but nothing special. He should step up his game from here on out.

Well, I was 0-2 in the fighters I was pulling for (Johnson and Aleem), so it goes. Derevyanchenko looked solid and battered Reno for 10+ rounds. I kept waiting for Derevyanchenko to start to gas but it didn't really happen. Reno is tough as nails to go through that punishment, I really felt bad for him after getting stopped in the final round. Derevyanchenko is skilled and tough, I wonder if his power is elite or if it was Johnson's will that kept him from falling from all of those clean punches landed. I have the feeling that a skilled boxer could outpoint Derevyanchenko. Would love to see him in there against GGG, Canelo or Danny Jacobs.

I though Johnson's corner should have stopped it a lot sooner.

                  Completely agree.
If you'd just seen the stoppage I get some could think it was early but surely nobody that watched the whole fight is too ar5ed about it?
Competitive but ultimately he took a hammering over 11 and a half rounds.

Lemieux doesn't have to look any further ... Derevyanchenko vs Lemieux becomes a logic fight before GGG...

Tureano suffered from ring rust. He got to learn how to box away during championship rounds to avoid late KO... Curtis blasted him in the final round of their bout too.
