If Gervonta wants to be a good champ he can carry on as he is but if he wants to be great he'll have to see the likes of Loma at some point. I think they are more likely to fight at 135 though because by the time he feels 'ready' in his mind they probably would have moved up.

This duck will follow him for his entire career. But we all know the Floyd M.O., wait Loma out several years until he is no longer prime (sound familiar?), then cash in on his name when he is just a shell of his former self. Loma is 29 now, so I suspect Davis will try to hold him off until he's mid-30s with endless excuses and antagonizing insults. When he finally does fight him he'll say he "marinated" the fight to generate more interest and revenue. Claim to be a genius.

What does that have to do with Davis shamelessly ducking him. Maybe if he agreed to the fight Loma wouldn't be fighting these smaller guys

Loma said the same ridarding rigondeaux. Loma said he was not ready for rigo in one of his fights , I think in his third on hbo . Why the double standard ?
Loma could have fought rigo a long time ago and he has not .
Now , seems like Loma wants it , but at 130 . Not even at 126 in a catch weight or 2 years ago it could have been at
            124 when Loma fought at. 126 .

So , yes , it sounds like a duck from Davis , but Loma said and did the same with rigondeaux.

Rigo beats him then and now...

Hit and not be hit ; can not hit what you don't see .

You don't think that's what we have right now with Canelo v GGG? Now is the perfect time for that fight. I think it's real easy for keyboard commandos to call a guy who fights for a living a coward.

You cant use that lie on Floyd cuz when Floyd fought opponents they were on winning streaks. And when he offered to fight the guys that people like you say he avoided for the right time, the fact is they avoided Floyd before they fought.

Flawed logic at the least. Loma is on a winning streak too in case you haven't noticed. So what is Davis' excuse that Loma won't do anything for his career. It is the same damn logic Floyd used to avoid opponents. Birds of a feather.
