A good time to call out Danny Jacobs would've been when his stable mate, Avantil Khurtsidze, was arrested on RICO charges, and your fight was cancelled! Why bring up Jacobs now, when you're already signed to fight Willie Monroe Jr.? I hope Willie gets a KO...EARLY!!!

I'd rather have a unification bout. Winner of GGG/Canelo vs. Saunder would be ideal. But I'd be ok with Saunders vs. Jacobs if it leads to a unification bout afterwards.

Too bad Charlo 1 is not jumping at the chance.
Even with the added advantage of being in the same stable.

After GGG-Canelo, BJ knows he's in line for a big payday unification against the winner. If he doesn't get it straight away he'll fight another Monroe-level guy while waiting.

I believe bjs will get past Willie Monroe with no problem but I'm intrigued to see if Willie can pull off the upset lol... anyway if bjs fights Danny he's getting his lights put out simple as that. I will admit I like hearing bjs trash talk he's getting better and better lol

I agree. I just don't see it happening.

That becomes a great fight instead of just the last fight for GGG/Canelo to get the last belt. Or if Jacobs wins, then that rematch or fight with Canelo is for all the belts, and it doesn't have to take up an extra date (in other words, if GGG wins, he wouldn't need to waste one date getting the belt, and then another date rematching Jacobs. He'd have a chance to do both in one fight, which would speed up his move to 168, which is what we all want to see).

So I definitely hope it happens. Or Saunders-Charlo in December so long as it's mandated winner has to fight GGG-Canelo winner next. Or they could strip Saunders and have Jacobs and Charlo fight for the belt in December. In theory that would be even better, winner fights GGG/Canelo winner, but that should only happen if Saunders refuses to fight one of them. Otherwise it's not fair to Saunders, even if it would probably be better for the division.
I would be ok with any of these scenarios but I just don't see it happening. Boxing has been too good to us this year with regards to making good fights. I am waiting for things to go back to normal.
