NAW! the reason you have so many PAC votes is simple.. IN the UK the votes are split.. In the USA votes are split.. In Russia or the former USSR votes are split... why is hatton and wright on this list. only people who follow boxing know of them. oscar de la hoya would be my pick as i think most people have heard of him even if they don't follow boxing. tyson is probably more popular though.

i see what you are saying, but consider the following:

1. Philippines have an 80+ million population

2. in philipines pacman is not just their favorite fighter, or their favorite athlete for waht matters. He is a NATIONAL HERO. We are taking about a guy who politicians want to be seen around, bcos he brings them popularity.

1. + 2. = Pacman as of now probably has something like 50 million fans.

if you ask the question "do you know x?" around the world, tyson is going to take it (sad as it is, he probably beats de la hoya at that)

if you ask the question "are you a fan of x?" then you cant beat pacman
