So what he's a professional. Experience will not come into play in this fight. This isn't no step up fight for either guy.

Struggled in one big fight, versus the #1 P4P fighter of the last decade... Canelo has been in big fights since the Mayweather fight and is undefeated in those fights.

I tend to agree...if canelo is actually a mw like everyone says he is, he should be able to deal with ggg's strength and power. The clearest advantage in this fight may be canelo's youth...ggg has already shown slippage and every fight from here on out could be the fight where he shows his age.

          I stopped here.

Saying "Jacobs and Lemieux would beat Cotto, Trout, and Lara" over and over is really pointless. They both have big size advantages, neither are better fighters than those three (though I wouldn't argue Jacobs over Trout)

Canelo is more experienced in big fights, though I don't think that's a factor in this fight

What's pointless is you ignoring the size. It dosen't matter if they're bigger. At the end of the day they will win. We are comparing resumes and opposition. Size plays a role when moving up to mw. It's relevant when two guys step in the ring.

Canelo's got a lot going for him. Most of all he's the better fighter and I expect him to win convincingly.

Bottom line is that both ggg and canelo have fought tomato cans in their pro career. Their resumes are very similar. Canelo's best wins do not beat ggg's best wins. All thing being equal in their pro career the ice breaker here is the amateur experience. GGG has 350 while canelo has zero. GGG experience by far is greater not even close. Anyone who claims amateur experience dosen't matter dosen't know much about boxing.

The topic of YOUR thread is experience. Fantasy matchups between their opponents being determined by size doesn't equal experience
