This UFC vs Boxing thing

How long the upswing in MMA fighter pay lasts is anyone's guess. 2016 UFC seemed a company on the upswing, with plenty of room for growth at the bottom line and in fighter pay. 2017 UFC is a company with PPV buys and FOX ratings in the tank betting the farm on a freakshow one-off event to make the metrics they need to make to make their lenders and shareholders happy.

We'll need to see how things develop..

They also got more pots on the stove then ever to so they are less dependent on TV & PPV numbers. I mean they are taking in $40M-$50M+ a year via Fight Pass & thats only going to become a bigger nut each month for them as they continually add content & original shows. Pay is for sure going up + I expect WME-IMG to sh^tcan Reebok when they can so that'll be extra sponsorship money again for the fighters. Bring back some personality to the trunks/ring wear that the UFC should be selling & splitting the profits with the fighters vs those fugly Reebok uniforms that no one wants.
