And 8 years later he got his shot at Floyd but ball washers like Larry seem to forget that. Then he fights jmm at a cw he didn't honor and Floyd says well he called me out. Yet Floyd ignores when sexy Sergio called him out ggg and a sh it load of other fighters

I don't understand how we get sidetracked in these topics and don't address the title of the topic itself and what it was about to begin with.

He captured the IBF title at 154 2 years ago, made 3 defenses 2 of them were against Trout and Julian Williams (good quality fighters) decided to move up to 160 and got himself a title eliminator, won it, now he's the mandatory. Can someone explain to me how Charlo has to "prove" himself before he gets "deserves" a shot at a title he fought in an eliminator to have to chance to capture?

      What???
In the very same interview Abel said GGG will never vacate a title. Do the math. This means Charlo will get his shot as a mandatory and his 30% as the challenger. We shouldn't forget a long story of how Jacobs almost vacated his mandatory spot because of his 25% share, and certain demographic blaming GGG for lowballing Jacobs. The same story and whining may happen with Charlo.

P.S. All this talk is useless now because GGG has to beat Canelo and Saunders first.

Jermall doesn't need to prove anything.

I'd love to see him get the next shot.

          He's a talented, exciting fighter.

Charlo against GGG or Canelo would be a lot of fun.

Charlo has only beaten smaller men and a one legged man.

Actually Sanchez says they have no intention of fighting Charlo unless the WBC forces it... which they will of course be doing if they enforce it as a mandatory ... or if Charlo becomes a bigger name. All he's basically saying is that Charlo isn't a fight they would take voluntarily simply cos he doesn't bring enough to the table, but that if they have to fight him then they'll fight him. I'm not even seeing what's controversial about that.

Charlo's already proved that he deserves a shot at the GGG/Canelo winner

If /when GGG beats Canelo, Id think he goes after the Saunders after he beats Monroe then probably a soft touch before Charlo is even considered so that's probably the end of 2018 at the earliest.

But right now Charlo's a top 5 MW and deserves a fight with which whoever the top dog is

How are u going to compare Floyd who paid his dues against dangerous opponents like Lara early in his career to a guy like GGG who has one legit valid great fighter on his resume which is Jacobs. He was down on the cards against the second best fighter he faced who was a welterweight b4 a corner stoppage due to broken eye socket.
The score cards in the Brook fight were a disgrace.

Niether do I. It's just a bunch of G haters that are bored and want to stir the pot.

He needs to prove himself for people to be calling for him to fight GGG/Canelo.

If they fight him before he proves himself then that is ok. But its better if he gets in with a top contender first.
