This fight is a pipe dream, nothing more. No way Lemieux can get under 160, and no way Cotto is taking a fight against a puncher (or anyone else for that matter) at the full 160. So its silly to even think its a possibility.......

Cotto should stay away from David. The guy doesnt even have a belt. Im thinking more like Khan or Brook who are bigger names and more or less his size.

Cotto doesnt have anything to prove and if he fights another 160 pounder again it should be golovkin who has all the belts.

Lemieux beats him. Cotto is not a true middleweight.

              Excuses, excuses...

              What belt does Kamegai have?

Cotto has to prove he deserves canelo -GGG winner.

I'm surprised he is fighting Lemieux (wonder what the weight is, Lemule can barely make 160) but everyone keeps saying this fight is already made.

It must be Cotto's cash out fight, putting Lemieux over the top. I imagine Lemiuex goes on to fight Canelo in May.

Cotto would request a catchweight and Lemieux kills himself already making 160, so I don't see this fight happening.

The fight that Cotto and Golden Boy should make is Cotto vs. Matthysse at 150 or something.

That is an ideal and good fight to make for Cotto's last fight, Cotto-Matthysse.

Both Cotto and Matthysse are with Golden Boy. They can fight at a catchweight of 151,150 or so, that would be good. Joel Diaz is training Matthysse so the battle of trainers would resume as well against Roach.
I hadn't even thought about that fight. That would be solid

Man this would not end well for Cotto. He's way past his prime and shouldn't be taking this much of a risk if any nowadays.

                      I'd side Lemieux by KO.
