GGG is a professional and like many good fighters before him, he understands how to use sparring correctly. it is not about getting one up on someone else, it is about getting in guys hwo can test various aspect of your game.Comment

i think conor needed that paulie sparring session to boost his fragile ego.... he has never been in with a real pro and he doesnt have the heart or balls to be in with an actual active pro.... so he did what a typical front runner would do..... he called a retired out of shape guy who has no power....

Hearns was not a "career welterweight". He won his first belt at WW and lost to SRL at a young age, went right to 154 after and beat Wilfred Benitez in a tactical bought. Then he eventually went up to 160 (after destroying Duran) to face the MW king who was still being questioned as a great fighter. The parallels are very obvious here.Comment
