Guess they'll be fighting in 8 Oz. gloves.

Just saw it on Floyd's Instagram. So no more excuses from Conor's camp.

Also, wtf is up with this myth that boxing gloves are pillows? Has anyone ever been hit with boxing gloves, or hit a bag with boxing gloves. You can hit 10x harder with boxing gloves, thus rattling your brain even more, and causing way more damage than with bare knuckles, and your wrist bending and flexing too much, so there's more give on the impact of the strike.

Hell, even bigger boxing gloves hurt like hell. And a brand new pair of boxing gloves are hard as hell.

People who call 10oz damn gloves pillows expose their ignorance...they literally are telling the world they have never boxed a day in their lives..16 oz gloves ****ing hurt with head gear on..the only purpose of head gear and bigger gloves is to avoid cuts

Pretty much this. And 8 Oz. gloves are only double 4 Oz. That sounds like a huge glove, but it's not, at all. It's literally like a weapon, because it allows you to hit harder, and for way longer then no gloves.

Yep, the fact that it protects your knuckles and your wrist is stabilized by the wraps allows you to swing harder without hurting your hands..people have no idea the reason boxers use gloves

With all of Floyd's talk about controlling the fight before it starts do you think he made this move because he's confident about coming in specifically to knockout Mcgregor?

The fact that Floyd's open to this makes me think he plans to be extra offensive in this fight.

That's the reason gloves were used in the first place, because fighters kept breaking their hands.

Obviously before that it was barw knuckle.

Exactly. And the thud you get with gloves compared to no gloves is a huge difference.

I was literally thinking that as I was reading it. He recetly came out with the, "KO in 4" statement, and about not taking a step back. I'm almost 100% banking on a KO/TKO/ref stoppage in this one. Conor and his fans won't be able to do the, "oh, but he survived" BS.

                Gatti performance.

Of course, despite giving a blatant and clear advantage to McGregor with Floyd specifically lobbying for a glove size that is to his disadvantage given his hands, people still won't give Floyd credit.
