I watched Ortiz vs. White Rhino yesterday. Ortiz showed quick hands at times, great accuracy, and decent power, but I think he's on the boogeyman list. Neither he nor David Allen were very busy in that fight, either.

I think him against Wilder would be a fun, competitive fight.

People gave him props when he beat Stiverne. That was a strong performance and the best I've seen him look. I'm not a Deontay hater. I was cheering for him at StubHub. I'd love for an American HW to bring all those belts back home. He just hasn't showed much development over the course of his career and he has not built on the momentum of the Stiverne victory. He's gone backwards. I think he could take out Parker but only give him a punchers chance against Ortiz & Joshua.

Deontay would destroy that old Cuban man! (Who's REALLY in his late 40's)

This fight COULD have been made ,the key word COULD ! Wilder hasn't fought Stiverne yet ina fight that was announced months ago for that reason and thats to have an ace up his sleeve to avoid fighting anyone of relevance to close out the year which will lead to Joshua who Joshua is actually going to fight .

Wilder vs Ortiz? Cant wait to bump that thread i made . lol

If what you claim is true, it would be more lucrative to make purse reductions and keep him in NYC. Tickets prices and sales are higher in NYC, that's a fact, whereas the fighter's purse don't fluctuate much.

Fighter expenses may be more expensive in NYC, but the cards do better here
no doubt... if he were any kind of draw in the US, he would b defending in Vegas on ppv... even Bowe had a few ppv bouts

He gets my respect if he takes the Ortiz fight but I can't see it happening. Ortiz is a genuine threat and I think he'll fight stiverne unfortunately. I'm confident Ortiz beats wilder too.

Do you know how the landscape of the HW division was at these times you are referring too?

its funny that in this very same thread we are dealing with the same politics and other obstacles in the way of Deontay getting someone you all want to see him fight ( supposedly ) and then you pretend it was all clear from any hinderance back then ; I'm talking about drug violations, fighters having promotional issues, injuries, some just recently had fights and wouldnt be able to step in, others serving suspensions like Browne, Ortiz himself etc...there was alot going on . Let me add that Klitschko during a short period was still champion and every other top HW was doing what Ortiz and the rest of the pack are doing now...chasing the bigger purse with Joshua!

I just provided ample examples of Fury, Glaskov, Joshua going the other route instead of challenging Wilder when they had the offer and chance! and now with the present issue with the WBA mandating Ortiz for Joshua how do you guys come in here accusing Wilder of ducking anyone? do you guys purposely ignore the fact? yep you do...you are fanboy I'm a boxing fan thats why I can see things clearly and reverse any judgement against Deontay the "Bronze-Bomber' Wilder REAL HW champion must ducked HW on the planet - FACTS.
