Bottom line is hagler hearns was only an amazing fight because Hearns was so overmatched that he had no choice but to go to war,& sadley neither fighter was even paid very well in todays terms, there was nowhere near the worldwide hype that there is for this fight & nowhere near the worldwide appeal either as this is the internet age, where this fight is much bigger because of it. NOBODY knows whether it will become an atg fight like that was,but on paper it is definitely"bigger" as far as matchups & styles go combined with worldwide appeal.

          Monzon vs Grifith
          Monzon vs Benvenuti
          Monzon vs Napoles
          Hagler vs Hearns
          Hagler vs Leonard
Hopkins vs Roy Jones to name a few..
Its too early to asses how big this fight is. It could prove to be one of the biggest though

... "biggest fight in the Middleweight history" in terms of what???

Hopkins vs De La Hoya produced 1 million pay-per-view buys, generating a $56 million revenue... therefore???... is Canelo "greater" than De La Hoya?... or GGG greater than B-Hop?...

Hopkins vs Roy wasn't a big fight at all as B-Hop was pretty green.

I think it's safe to say this is the biggest MW fight since Hagler-Leonard or maybe Hopkins-Trinidad.

So just a couple of months back Oscar downplayed ggg as an attraction and downplayed his accomplishments. Now he's 1 half of the biggest fight in mw history above fights like Leonard vs Hagler, Hagler vs hearns, Trinidad vs Hopkins? Yeah ok

There's a bunch of tickets still available for Canelo/GGG as well. Difference is that May/Mac has already done over 50 mil in ticket sales.
