50-0 just sounds better than 49-0. People attach an intangible value to double digit numbers ending in zero, especially one that signifies being halfway to 100.

Floyds own words, I don't care about 50 or 49 or whatever, I don't care if it was not a awarded win on my record just give me pay cheque.

All this BS about 50, its a record that is not a record and been broken before it don't mean anything.

Because it sets a record. Most wins by a retired world champion without a loss, draw, or no contest.

This fackking snake wanted Dana white to call him to make Pacquiao vs McGregor, same thing with Oscar, now that they didn't get the fight they're salty and bitter, of course it has to count , there a millions of fighters who start fighting professionally at 0-0 record without having a amateur career, they're first pro fight still counts, this should be no different...

if calzaghe comes out of retirement and fight 5 guys making their pro debut, then hed have the record. Its not like the nba where you can compare numbers like that

the amount of champs hes fought is more meaningful than just 50-0

**** off. Your fighter couldn't lay a hand on him so what's the difference?

I agree, but it's a hallowed mark in boxing because a heavyweight has held it for 61 years. That's why sometimes people will refer to it as the heavyweight record. While it is and will remain the heavyweight record, it's also the record for any weight class. At least until Mayweather beats McGregor, retires, and holds the record himself.

Fighting a guy for making his prodebut in a major ppv. We are truly gullible.
