Jacobs did well if not better than triple IF we avoid the fact that he blocked GGG's jab all night with his mouth wich ended bloodied.

Jacobs had the most impressive shots but he got controlled and outpointed during the whole fight.

Still GGG won in a boring, unimpressive fashion and his stock has fallen for any of us.

The guy who will win will be the guy controlling both pace and distance.

Canelo did well versus Chavez jr but Chavez was a dead man, yet he couldn't hurt him.

I think Golovkin will have a stronger presence than Chavez in the ring and will win the jab battle, then will see how Nelo adjust.

Canelo builds his performance behing a jab dominance, he won't be able to build it versus GGG. I trully believe GGG has the best jab.

I don't know if Canelo will be able to reduce the distance versus GGG to land his money punches, again, Nelo uses his jab to reduce the distance. Nelo is also himself a methodical fighter.

But I don't know, Nelo has the better defense, but sometimes he forgot to move his head and get hit too much.

I honnestly believe Jacobs is a much bigger challenge than Chavez jr and so I was more impressed by GGG at the end of the day.

If you're that 160 mexican killer you should stop a guy like Chavez who seems to be a shot fighter.
    At least hurt him.

If he couldn't hurt Chavez I don't see why he's supposed to hurt GGG. GGG will be defensive just like in the Lemieux and Jacobs fight.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still giving Nelo a shot.
That and him running out of gas from foot movement is the only thing that worries me. Because he cannot stand in front of G and expect to win.

Yeah, but do you think that's a valid excuse for G fans to use in an event of a lost?

Next to Floyd (and maybe Mikey), I think GGG has the most educated jab in boxing. Its why he beat Danny and why Canelo will have some serious issues. Unless Canelo is faster/sharper than i think he is, it'll be a long night imo.
Do you think the fight rates a rematch?

Do you think people would be saying this is a 50/50 fight if Canelo fought Golovkin after he beat Lemieux?

Age can definitely be a valid reason for a boxer in his mid 30's to lose a fight he might have won a year or two earlier, and that's a fact.

Only a fanboy trying to score points would refer to it as an excuse.

I don't bad mouth Jacobs. He's great in everything he does but his chin keeps him a B+ fighter. If he protects his chin and learns like the Klitz bros did he'll go very far...I think he should stick to boxing like he did against GGG 90% of the time. He LOST rounds he was winning early on when he engaged GGG. He looks to bew almost done at 160?? 168 is gonna be tougher.

yes, but he made that comment 2 years before floyd actually consider him as an opponent.

and no, floyd wanted 147 at first. then floyd offer 150 and finally they agreed on 152. canelo's team was told to keep this private about floyd wanting canelo at 147.

According to Canelo, Mayweather first requested 147, and then went up to 150, and then 151 - and at that point Canelo countered and said he was willing to shed two pounds in order to make the fight happen.

“I’m the bigger guy, why would I give up weight?” Canelo said. “You want to know what happened? They wanted to fight at welterweight. I told them, ‘No way, those days are over for me.’ Then they said let’s do the fight at 150. I said I couldn’t do that. Then 151. To make this fight happen I said I would give up two pounds. Then we finally agreed on 152," Canelo said.

The Mexican star further claimed that Mayweather and his team tried to keep him quiet regarding the "catch-weight" negotiations.

"They tried to keep us quiet. They told us not to speak with the media. They told us not to disclose anything and we were fine with that. The reason why we are talking about the weight today is because they called us idiots and said we wanted the catch-weight, they are lying," said Canelo, who weighs around 153 to 154-pounds as of Tuesday.

Floyd Mayweather’s father Floyd Sr. said that if WBA/WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez wants a fight against Floyd Jr. in September then he’s going to have to come in at 147 lbs at the weigh-in the day before the fight.

Definitely deserves another go at it. I think GGG will go that route or retire. He's not giving Charlo a shot....too young and hungry imo
