It's funny hearing people talk about PED's when Morales was the one being caught. He also quit agianst Pacquiao deciding to stay on the canvas rather than keep on fightjng, and like a diva demanded his opponents wear specific gloves.

please stop trying to rewrite history. marquez idea of an efficient performance was to counterpunch and slow the pace of fights down during his prime. it was only later on, when he'd slowed down and had to take shots that he used to be able to avoid and counter, that he turned into the blood and guts warrior. that doesn't mean we take away from his blood and guts performances, but don't compare him to morales, whose idea of an efficient fight was punching you in the mouth and calling your girlfriend a b#Tch. you probably didn't watch a lot of boxing when marquez was known as a safe counterpuncher living in the shadow of his two more exciting [and perceived as "more mexican"] countrymen.

believe me, if marquez could ahve avoided going to war with diaz and katsidis he would have just boxed and countered them. what happened was his legs, which he used to use to skuttle away after he landed big shots, ended up taking him to the ropes or forcing him to exchange in teh middle of the ring.

what marquez had that you're mixing up with a lack of heart on morales part was a clean lifestyle, no weight gaining between fights, and a style in the ring that lended itself to a longer career. morales was a very solid boxer and technician, but he was always a warrior and would slug it out at the drop of a hat. at the weigh in, in the first round when his legs were fresh and he could box if he could, at a local speakeasy, wherever!

Never knew that about Marquez, I've only ever seen his fight against Pacquiao.

Point I was making, and one you can't refute is that Marquez never quit regardless of how many times he went down. You can't say the same about Morales.

Great post. You're quite smart for a "homeboy".
The fact you are a Ward fan disgusts me though.

It's amazing how these scum are trying to rewrite history.
                The part below in particular.

Morales has beaten prime barrera and beaten Pac as well.
His resume is a bit better rounded.

He quit mentally against Chris John, Norwood, Bradley and even
feather fisted Mayweather made him stop trying to win.

                    Just to be clear.
You are attempting to argue Chicken Marquez had more heart than Warrior Morales?

Guys like Edwin Valero had that pi55 drinking geek runnin for the hills.

Dude was a pi55 drinking, roid abusing, fight ducking, heartless f@ggot.
