I doubt he could have a chance against Thurman or Spence. Damn, I am not even sure he could beat Collazo.Comment

He hangs with the "fighter of the decade" for 36 rounds, winning many rounds, and you doubt he has a chance against Thurman or Spence? Sorry man, but you must be on something.Comment

Notice that nobody gives any credit to any of the guys that beat Manny. There's always an excuse.Comment

Since the year 2007, Bradley has fought nothing but top 10 competition over a stretch of 9 years. He beat 14 champions. Aren't you always impressed by rankings and belts?
#1 Ring Junior Witter WBC Strap
#6 Ring Kendell Holt
#1 Ring Nate Campbell
#3 Ring Devon Alexander for the WBC/WBO unification
#1 Ring P4P/#1 WW Manny Pacquiao for the WBO Strap
#10 Ring Ruslan Provodnokov
#3 Ring P4P/#2 Welterweight/#4 Junior Welterweight Juan Manuel Marquez
#7 Ring Jesse Vargas
This isn't even counting where his other opponents (i.e. Cassamayor, Peterson, Abregu, Vasquez, Cherry, etc) were ranked by the WBO/WBC/WBA at the time he beat other guys. This is only going by Ring rankings.
5-time world champion in 2 different weight classes only having lost to Paquiao. He'll be just fine in the history books.Last edited by Chollo Vista; 08-06-2017, 05:40 PM.Comment

My first thought is that he's being premature with this, but it's his decision. He's only 33 and there still would've been a lot of big fights for him, he could've fought Spence, Thurman, Porter, Jeff Horn, Danny Garcia, Miguel Cotto among others. A lot of you saying he's a HOF fighter, I disagree but I think with wins over a couple of those guys it would be very hard to argue. It shows you guys how great of a fighter Mayweather is because he's dominated top competition for 20 years and here's a guy who after facing top guys for 9 years is like "I'm done". However, I do respect him and it's his decision. Some guys don't necessarily want to be considered all time great in the sport, it's like "win a few belts, make a few million, and then i'm set for the rest of my life". It's clear he's just not hungry at this point. For some guys it's just not that important. His career was very good, not great.
As for his career, it was good no doubt, but he did have a few controversial decisions (Pacquiao, Marquez, Provodnikov) it's not like he just beat these guys clearly. I always looked at him as like a B-Plus fighter which is why he signed with Arum so he could fight Pacquiao and not have to fight Floyd. He was talented but got by more by will than skill, I honestly don't know if he would beat the likes of Thurman/Spence so i'm not going to go all the way out there and say he's an ATG etc. I'm not hating on him at all, that's just my thoughts on him, he was a very good fighter who always came to fight, but could've done more than he did.
He'll probably be a good commentator if that's what he decides to do.Last edited by JK1700; 08-06-2017, 05:40 PM.Comment

We can say many guys "arguably" lost to XYZ. At the end of the day, it's counted as a W regardless of how accurate it is.

Ruslan wasn't ranked in the division being fought in.
And we pretend he has a legit win over Pacquaio but in reality he doesn't. Blatant robbery.
What's you've listed is good but hardly great. 3 fighters legitimately beaten in the top 5.
HOF calibur? Not in my eyes but it's arguable I guess.Comment

But yes, Nate was ranked Ring #1 at the time.
Ruslan wasn't ranked in the division being fought in.
And so you know, Provodnikov was the #3 WBO Welterweight when he fought Bradley.
What ranking was Hatton and Marquez at 147 when Floyd fought them?
And we pretend he has a legit win over Pacquaio but in reality he doesn't. Blatant robbery.
FMJ thought he could've lost to DLH. Why do you think his knees buckled and he start crying when they said he won?
