I've noticed a new trend since the Ward vs Kovalev rematch

That's the thing with Ward. It's always questionable with him. There's a pattern. It might be legal, but it's cynical and shadey. I think he figures beforehand exactly where to punch to the nth degree without being penalised.Yet, it's still on the border/beltline thus making it a legal punch. Hey, the boxers don't make up the rules, they just play by them. It's these state lawmakers who make these rules up. If the State Athletic commissions don't like them then perhaps they shouldn't implement them.Comment

Wtf? Are you an idiot? When part of the fist gets below the belt it's an illegal punch! And here we have the vast majority of the glove being under the by Week's designated line!Yet, it's still on the border/beltline thus making it a legal punch. No wonder Cliff Rold says the low blow deniers are liars. Smfh.Comment

B.S If his cup was up that high then that's on him but any part of the glove touching the belt line is considered a legal punch even if that punch partially lands below that line; Just so long as the glove hits the legal area of the belt line. That punch landed above the navel.
The only punch that was low was the one Ward threw just prior to Weeks stopping the fight. Sergei was putting a con job on you guys. He was tired and was looking for a way out. If he was truly punched in the balls he would have fallen to the canvas on his knees. The fact is your guy lost, he was mentally broken and checked out. So stop with the excuses.Comment

Weeks showed the line at the instructions. 95% of Ward's glove is below that line. Had it been 5% you could call the shot borderline. Kov complained about shots that werent even low. He cried wolf and got punished for it when Ward actually landed low.
Also the ref stopped the fight. Can't blame Ward for it being stopped the way it wasComment

What surprises me is that people see a guy get hit low 6-7 times over the course of a fight, and act as if it would not affect his performance in a negative way, and not give an advantage to the guy that did the lowblowing.
And call shots such as these obvious lowblows borderline, when clearly most of the glove or all of it is below the beltine:
