he said no such thing. why make up things? he said anything under here is low then drew a line though kovs trunks. ward continually landed below that so that means ithey were low. weeks himself knew it was low as he warned ward for it early in the fight. the strange part was when ward kept doing it that usually means the ref should become stricter but he became more lenient. the last shots were the lowest of the fight and instead of addressing it he ruled it a tko.

if you want to see legal body punches watch garcia broner. he continually went to the body with legal punches over and over. garcia had no problem controlling where his punches went so im not sure why ward did. ward went low in the first fight a ton as well but the ref did nothing which established a bad precedent. with wards past history of fouling and the first kovalev fight as evidence its hard to believe he was low blowing on accident while trying to "go to the body" doesnt matter either way since a foul is a foul whether you tried to do it or not.

pretending a guy wasnt low blowing when he clearly was is the bull-**** that happens in the sport. the ref and the judges fu-ck up all the time in boxing but the fans who dont care and pretend everything is on the up and up are almost as bad. round 10 to kovalev! yeah right. they were body punces even though you can see in the frames they are clearly landing below the legal line. nope stop complaining dont look at the evidence!
