Because if you watch the fight again, you will notice that when Ali landed punches they were more clearer shots that were snapping Foreman's head back. If my memory serves me right I think in the very beginning of the fight Ali landed some good clean shots that kinda got Goerge's respect. Dude, please don't compare your amateur sparring & experience to the Ali/Foreman fight in Zaire Africa. I get it you are the KING OF Sparring in the gym. In other words you are a GYM RAT. But if you was a former boxer, you should know not to compare sparring with a real boxing match. In a real fight, like i'm sure you know, it's more of an adrenalin rush.

Yes George throws arm punches but to say that's all he throws is not correct. George threw plenty of hard punches where he set his feet and rotated his upper body to get leverage on hus shots. They may be somewhat akward looking but they are not arm punches. By the way you didn't respond to my quote from the Time magazine article confirming the temperature was in the upper 80's and the humidity was 90% in Zaire the day of the fight.
