Duran is right on all counts. Canelo needs to use a lot of lateral movement and keep that jab working all night if he wants to keep GGG from planting his feet and laying that power on him. In and out, he won't have a sloppy Kirkland or a hapless Chavez in front of him. He'll need to work for this one.

I disagree. I think it's personal. I believe he is mostly motivated by envy. Despite having a legendary career, he has very little to show for it outside of memories because he is now broke.

His behavior is very reminiscent of the same way he treated Sugar Ray Leonard during his career, due to his envy and jealousy of his success. Moreover, I think he see a lot of Leonard in Mayweather; Given all the glitz, wealth, fame and glamour they have both accumulated throughout their respective careers.

He's obviously bitter. A guy never says anything about you but you tell us every few months "I would've beat him, I was a lot better blah blah blah". A lot of these old time fighters are bitter, because boxing was hard for them. They had to fight 60, 70 maybe 100 fights in their career and here's a guy who's earned what they earned their whole career in 1 or 2 fights. Now in his 60's he still has to work.

I respect Duran as one of the ATG's but at the same time he lost to all the best guys he fought. Yeah he beat SRL, but that's mainly because Ray fought like an idiot that first fight, you saw what happened in the 2nd and 3rd fights. He also got badly outboxed by Benitez and Hagler losing almost like 80% of the rounds in those fights. He's the greatest LW of all time but if all these guys outboxed him it's more than likely Floyd would too. The only chance I give Duran is if they fought at 135lbs. Floyd wouldn't be ****** enough to fight his style of fight like Ray did.

I agree with this, he's envious because he fought 119 fights and here's a guy who earned way more money in a lot less time. Same with SRL, he talks bad about Floyd every chance he gets because he wishes he was in that position. Duran's an ATG fighter but I always laugh at these people who think these guys would've beat Floyd just because they had more ATG's in their era. It's like, if Duran quit against SRL and struggled to land any meaningful punches in their 2nd and 3rd fights, same when he fought Hagler and Benitez, what makes you think he's going to do it to the GOAT defensive boxer who people land 20% of their punches against? You guys are just cheerleading because you like Duran. Close fight at 135 though.

Duran..my favorite of all time.I think GGG will be fighting the crowd and judges in Sept. more than Canelo. He better make it a knockout or a very dominating performance because Canelo gets all the close rounds and let's see if the ref let's GGG fight his fight. I have come to expect controversy in every big and many smaller fights over the last couple of years.

The winner of this bout will be" the Duran" in the match. Box, punch, control and don't wait for ref calls or bells; fight it out, points don't count! This should be truly be a throwback fight. To hell with the August 26th event, this should be war of two excellent boxers.

HA!!! Next you'll say Floydie would've beaten prime Ray Robinson. Cuz that's what Floydie told you to think. LOL!!!

Golovkin absolutely needs to have a dominating victory or a KO/stoppage to win this fight theres no way in hell he is walking away with the win in a close fight oscars knows if canelo wins this his worth will double

either way i think canelo wins this fight i just hope it isnt another BS result on the cards if he does get the nod

Canelo has to be more agressive than he normally is. I cant picture him backing ggg up, but the speed difference should be big enough to slow down ggg's agression. The x factor is how easily can canelo hit ggg? If he can hit him as easily as brook could then he should win the fight, if he has a hard time hitting him then the odds will be against him.
