The first 3 rounds will tell who will win, either g feels canelo power and shakes his head he'll hunt canelo down and bust him up or he's got just enough pop to stop him from coming forward and make him think, now way in hell canelo bounces around the ring like Danny Jacob's stick and move

On another note, it's sad to see how bitter these old time fighters are about Mayweather and his success. It's probably because he's made so much more money than any of them ever did. But damn, they're so bitter about it it's crazy. I think Hearns is the only one who hasn't come out and said "Mayweather's overrated, We all would have beat him" and I respect him for that. It's just childish when you're like 60 years old. We get it, you wish you were in his position.
Duran isn't bitter. He leads a fun lifestyle these days, doesn't really care much about anything. That's been well documented. He's just stating the obvious. He was a guy who beat Leonard in his prime, a fighter who also would beat Floydie.

Boxers from the past always say they could have whipped boxers from the present. It goes all the way back to the bareknuckle 'legends', and from there to the early gloved champions, but the films of their fights suggest otherwise. Duran sometimes had trouble with highly skilled movers - Benitez, Leonard in the return, Kirkland Laing - and when De Jesus beat him at lightweight he too showed plenty of lateral movement. All of these losses were in Duran's peak years and all of those losses were clearcut. I would pick a prime Pernell Whitaker to beat a prime Duran, and Mayweather would also have a very good chance of squeaking home.

I think this is true. Canelo is not a "stick and move" fighter. He's going to have to trade with Golovkin. If Golovkin has no respect for Canelo's power well.......we all know the rest.

You never saw prime duran Hearns Leonard Robinson Whitaker if you think Floyd could get away with 10 punches a round doing what he wants

Good summation.. IMO the only guy around today that would give Duran trouble would be Spence...

Hot damn! Every chance he gets he has to take a potshot a Floyd Mayweather for some unknown reason and the irony is, Mayweather ranks Duran in his top five fighters of all time. Roberto Duran is such a bitter old man!

Exactly back in the Duran days they didn't put all these clauses into contracts before fights. Back then most fighters had heart and whether they were getting beat or not they would still fight till the end to being knocked out not fighting safe to hear the bell ring. Mayweather had good defensive skills nobody can ever take away from him but whenever you saw him buzzed or cut he ran around the ring until he got out the round. Where mayweather lost points for me was he waited and beat around the bush until Mannys punching power was diminished and also after he was knocked out before he gave him a chance to fight him. But other then that you really can't take nothing away from Mayweather as a fighter well that and some of the clauses he used to have better advantages in his fights.

Why would Duran be bitter? He's doing what all old legends do, it's a macho driven sport. He's saying exactly what a warrior should say when talking about another fighter. People can say what they want about Duran but he's got a legit win over Leonard in both of their primes...Floyd, Manny, DLH..none of them have a name that skilled on their resume.
