The shots werent over or under the beltline, they were ON the belt line and they were legal shots.
I can prove it with a simple explanation.
Borderline shots are, BY RULE, left up to the discretion of the referee to call legal or illegal.
The referee in question deemed them legal.
Its really THAT simple.Comment

So your eyes tells your that the final shots was 'on the beltline' and therefore legal? What did your eyes tell you about the shots in the second round that Weeks deemed to be illegal? The shots werent over or under the beltline, they were ON the belt line and they were legal shots.

Let me just add that Cliff Rold calls you a liar. It's just a sidenote, so don't let that fact distract you.Comment

I don't know which fight where you watching, but Kovalev was the aggressor chasing and looking to hurt Ward in the 7th and in the 8th until the low blows which you can see in many of the photos and videos posted here, If Ward is so superior or the better fighter, why would he need to cheat and fight as dirty as he does? how can someone get a Win hitting someone in the nuts? if you where hit to the nuts you would rollover in the ground and cry like a little girl because of the pain , so stop talking nonsense about him not having guts or that he does not have fortitude.Get over it! The constant whining and complaining about low blows simply makes your fighter appears weak. Just accept the fact that your guy is a quitter and a loser. In addition, he lacks the necessary fortitude to be a champion. It really breaks my heart that he doesn't have any guts. There was absolutely no reason for him sitting on the ropes and turning his back on Ward the way he did while looking at the referee for a way out. Moreover by that point, he was a mentally broken fighter anyway. So he simply chose the easy way by checking out.Comment

You dont understand what I wrote. So your eyes tells your that the final shots was 'on the beltline' and therefore legal? What did your eyes tell you about the shots in the second round that Weeks deemed to be illegal?

I saw them as borderline shots, but thats not what makes them legal. What makes them legal is that Weeks deemed them legal. Im sure Weeks saw them as bordeline as well but he gets to make that call.
I have a newsflash for you. In boxing sometimes a fighter gets hit low, the referee says nope and the fighter has to keep fighting. Its part of the sport. To pretend otherwise is lying.
I would have had no problem with Weeks calling it low and given time to Kovalev to recover. But thats not what happened.
Question for you. Moments before the straight right Kovalev was caught faking low blows on what was CLEARLY legal shots. Do you think that played a factor in Weeks not giving Kovalev the benefit of the doubt on the last shots?Comment

I guess you missed all Kovalev's rabbit punches. So your eyes tells your that the final shots was 'on the beltline' and therefore legal? What did your eyes tell you about the shots in the second round that Weeks deemed to be illegal?
