I think Kovalev is just making a bad thing worse for himself.

I understand the argument that's happening between Ward and Kovalev fans, it's obvious why there are concerns and disagreements over how things played out.

But Kovalev was put in danger with a headshot before all of the controversy ensued. He had other options in the moment, but he was getting beat and Ward was chasing him down.

Hindsight 20/20 I wish Kovalev would have just taken a knee, there was definitely more fight left in him. But he shouldn't put this much blame on others IMHO. I thought the stoppage was a bit premature for sure, but Kovalev could have done things differently to avoid the perception he created for Tony Weeks too.

Now I'm wondering if Kovalev will be damaged goods going forward. It's a **** position for him to be in because you know Ward won't be granting him a 3rd fight or any additional chances.

This is definitely going to gnaw at him forever.

You and other's hate for Ward is beyond mind boggling. I obviously have fav boxers but when they fight against others I don't hate them. I really don't get the hate for Andre Ward. He seems like a very mild mannered respectful guy. Not boastful, very humble, yet he has these haters praying for his downfall! It's pretty pathetic to be honest.


For the record Andre is and has been at the top of the game for ages, why the **** would he be going to any other country to box? What boxer is he going to be fighting overseas?

Ward may well be a nice guy outside the ring, but inside it he is a dirty fighter and a cynical cheat who needs crooked home officials to be able to do what he does. So he isn't going to be fighting anybody overseas.
