Jacobs has knocked out larger men, Canelos' knock outs are mostly of welterweights and Jr welterweights. Jacobs is clearly the more powerful puncher of the two. Also Jacobs shook GGG up a few times in that fight. I know people like to re-write history, but the reality is Jacobs caught GGG quite a few times, and towards the end of the fight, I believe it was the 10th or 11th GGG was wobbled heading back to the corner. But my point is, Canelo will not be more powerful than Jacobs, however, Canelo does have a little more snap in his punch, so it is very possible that his landed punches could bother GGG more.

Different types of power. If I had to bet Canelo/Jacobs both land their best punches at the same time??? My $$$$ would be on Canelo still standing or worse a double KO. I trust Jacobs chin barely more than Khan's.

Mora be like "HOLY SHT!!!! I FINALLY knocked someone down"!!!! "We going to SIZZLER tonite, sizzler tonite"... "MA LOOK at ME!!! I FINALLY did it"

Would rather they stood away from each other for now. Canelo should have fought Charlo a while ago, so I would like to see that fight happen. And Jacobs deserves his rematch against GGG. I think it would be much more interesting if they fight after. Plus there are a few interesting fights in the interim, Charlo/Jacobs can fight Lemieux, Saunders, Khurtsidze, Lee, Ndam.

See that's my only question concerning Canelo's combinations; will it affect Golovkin? We've seen Golovkin get hit with combinations before that didn't stop him from advancing. The body shots might be a different story but is Canelo going to risk going to the body against such a devastating puncher like Golovkin?

Remind me how many times Jermall bambi-legged Trout?? Gave him a bloody mouth?? Knocked him down??? Ohh and trout was YOUNGER, UNDEFEATED, and coming off the best win of his Career... Chalo/Trout fight was BORING as ***! It looked like NEITHER one wanted to win. And both kept like you hit me and i'll hit you back.

The open scoring killed the fight. That and Trout giving up. Dude KNEW the score the entire time and did JACK SHT about it. He played it safe so he didn't get Kocked out. He RAN with it everytime on 4th and long. Didn't try ANY hail mary's. *** HIM!

Not bad for a 22/23 year old. Trout was PRIME 28.

Charlo fought Trout when he was 31/32 which is OLD in boxing YEARS.

So what should Charlo do if Canelo chooses to go after Saunders first? Should Charlo sit and wait on Canelo?

Not really different types of power, Jacobs has more power Canelo has more snap/speed when he punches, similar to comparing someone like Cotto and Pac. It's not different power, one is clearly the stronger puncher, the other has more snap/speed. Your second comment I find silly. Jacobs took everything GGG had and didn't get knocked out. A bad chin is what Khan has, when a fighter gets shaken up but continues, or gets knocked down but gets back up, it doesn't mean he has a questionable chin. Don't forget, Canelo almost got knocked out by a Jr Welterweight.

I don't see that happening. I see both guys preferring easier opponents to make sure they don't risk their shot at a big fight. Who even knows when Jacobs will fight next.
