Have you guys heard Malignaggi's interviews? He's intelligent and very well spoken. I'm not talking about the trash talking he does. I'm talking about interviews where he talks about the fight and boxing in general. He's a great speaker, one of the best I've ever heard. It might be good for the sport if he sticks around. And oh yeah, he is as confident as it gets. I don't care who wins this fight, I'm just glad it's happening, and I grow more interested every day.

he is one of the more articulate guys out there. i thoroughly enjoy listening to him, and doesn't come off as a punk either.

the best scenario for me that night would be for cotto to win a competitive scrap with malignaggi showing grit and mettle, winning over scores of fans of his own.

i'd like to see malignaggi do good in the future, i actually find the kid hard to dislike.

That's the bottom line. And Malignaggi doesn't have HBO behind him like Cotto. So you can't accuse Malignaggi of something, when Cotto is guilty of the same thing.

Cotto's management's response to Cotto being rocked and almost TKO'd in two straight fights against fringe competitors... Gianluca Branco.

        That's sad.
UMMMM? did you see that fight? at all, Gianluca Branco did not almost tko or even rock Cotto....

If you are refering to the Corley and Torres fights, he was not alsmost het TKOed in either of the fights, he held his ground after being rocked. It sounds like you have never seen those fights, and if that is the case you should not use them as a reference.

Cotto has fought 5 world Champs, he has 25 fights and has fought 5 world champs, Emmanuel steward stated that Cotto has the most impressive 25 fight record that he has seen in a long time.

Sosa, Ndou, Abdulaev, Bailey, Jukko, Maussa, Ceballos, Bazan, Corley. and what is impressive is not that he beat them but how he beat them.

          Kthanks.
He is a fast, slick boxer whos not going to stand in front of cotto and brawl with him.

the only real advandtage that i see paulie having is that he is very awkward. he will be on his bicycle all night providing us with a very boring fight.

I'll say it again. Is he quick yes but,not a Maywether slick and he's had good stamina against lower caliber opponents that weren't able to properly attack the body and slow him down. If you have no one pressuring you all night you should not have a problem going the distance.

Almost KOed??? are you sure? he was hit once on the temple, and was rocked ok. But there is a difference between being rocked and "almost TKOed". Torres was closer to stopping Cotto than Corley was.. In the Cotto/Corley fight, with the exception of that round, Corley was dominated, completely dominated.

cotto was all over the ring, clearly out on his feet. there was a point when i thought the ref was going to stop it.

IMO, I did not see it that way.. Cotto was visibly hurt but he did a good job holding and not getting hit. Corley attempted to finish him off, but he was far from doing it. There was not a time in that round that any ref could have stopped it, Cotto was not at risk, because he was not being hit.

Corley ROCKED cotto, that's all he did. Giving corley credit for "almost KOing" Cotto would be innacurate, because that was not the case.
