That being said, I really dont like his chances against Cotto.
OMFG, ok let's get something straight here:

Just because a boxer gets beat or nearly gets beat by another boxer does not make that other boxer good!

Tyson lost to ****ing McBride and Douglas. Despite that, they are NOT good boxers! Klitschko lost to Ross Purrity and Corrie Sanders, they are NOT good fighters. Judah struggled with Baldomir and Pineda, they are NOT good boxers. Actually Pineda might be better than I thought, but still not great.

Hatton got dropped by ****ing Eamon Mcgee. Mcgee is a ****ing bum. Trinidad got knocked down by a couple bums. That doesn't make them good.

Torres is not good, he's a hometown bum that caught an unsuspecting, questionable chinned Cotto off guard.

Malignaggi's last opponent was better than Torres.

That's not to say Cotto hasn't fought better competition than Malignaggi has, cause he clearly has. Corley and Abdulaev are better than anybody Malignaggi has faced.

You stated that Paulie has never been in a situation in which he was in trouble against a guy like Torres, and you are right, but that is because he has never faced a hard puncher like torres, who KOed 26 out of 28 of his opponents. He is obviously a hard puncher. And if you look at his record they are not TKOs, they are KOs. only 3 are TKOs while the other 23are KOs.

        Kthanks.
Well. My impressions from the maybe 3 fights I've seen of his on ESPN is that he moves around no doubt. Utilizes the ring fully and obviously is what a definition of a boxer would be. He's featherfisted, yet he has beaten many no names that came with 50% or better knockout ratios with not that many losses. He will no doubt use his speed on Cotto and try to fusturate him. I don't see his punches effecting Cotto though if all his opponents he has gotten then to cover up and go on the defensive, I don't see how Cotto won't. I mean, they may be featherfists, though they are touching you and that never feels good I think his goal will be to smother Cotto with lots of punches because he does have pretty good stamina from what I've seen obviously going the distance many many times. He may try to stay on the outside and box though it won't last long because Cotto will catch him and walk him down either way. He can't run forever. I think of this fight similar to Freitas-Corrales minus the power from Freitas being in the role of Paulie. Eventually Corrales caught up to him in the later rounds and put him out. This could very much happen because Paulie can't afford to make a mistake which may very well happen in the later rounds. Yet I'm picking Paulie for the upset because I think Cotto sounds overconfident that he can't be hurt and he can just walk right through Paulie. Now if Cotto wins, no surprise to me and I'll eat my words happily, though I also won't be surprised at all if Paulie wins because he has the speed and technical advantage which if applied correctly, it shouldn't fail vs any puncher.

What Will Happen Is That Cotto Will Test Sphagettis Hands First
And If He Can`t Hit For Nothing, Then He Will Go In And Rip Him Apart
Its Like a Lion Vs Zebra, Zebras Can Run Fast But Some Wheres The Lion Will Caught Up With It And Trap it on a Corner

And People Think Cotto Is Very Slow But he Aint He Uses The Ring Well
And He Knows How To Cut it 2

id say cotto is pretty slow, but he makes up for it by cutting off the ring so well.

Growing up Malignaggi will KO him, he has 21 wins with a whopping 5 KOs, his power is obviously underrated and unmatched.
