Tyson lost to ****ing McBride and Douglas. Despite that, they are NOT good boxers! Klitschko lost to Ross Purrity and Corrie Sanders, they are NOT good fighters. Judah struggled with Baldomir and Pineda, they are NOT good boxers. Actually Pineda might be better than I thought, but still not great.
Hatton got dropped by ****ing Eamon Mcgee. Mcgee is a ****ing bum. Trinidad got knocked down by a couple bums. That doesn't make them good.
Torres is not good, he's a hometown bum that caught an unsuspecting, questionable chinned Cotto off guard.
Malignaggi's last opponent was better than Torres.
That's not to say Cotto hasn't fought better competition than Malignaggi has, cause he clearly has. Corley and Abdulaev are better than anybody Malignaggi has faced.
I think his goal will be to smother Cotto with lots of punches because he does have pretty good stamina from what I've seen obviously going the distance many many times. He may try to stay on the outside and box though it won't last long because Cotto will catch him and walk him down either way. He can't run forever. I think of this fight similar to Freitas-Corrales minus the power from Freitas being in the role of Paulie. Eventually Corrales caught up to him in the later rounds and put him out. This could very much happen because Paulie can't afford to make a mistake which may very well happen in the later rounds. Yet I'm picking Paulie for the upset because I think Cotto sounds overconfident that he can't be hurt and he can just walk right through Paulie. Now if Cotto wins, no surprise to me and I'll eat my words happily, though I also won't be surprised at all if Paulie wins because he has the speed and technical advantage which if applied correctly, it shouldn't fail vs any puncher.
