Floyd losing doesn't hurt the sport as much as you think. In fact I think it could actually strengthen the sport cuz if you don't think Conor would box again I think you are being naive. And that fight would command a bunch of attention to & Conor definitely ain't getting past a Spence or Thurman type guy in his dreams let alone in the ring so he'd be brought back down from reality real quick & some boxer would have hijacked the hype right back from Conor.

And I say that with the confidence of not knowing of anyone in boxing that has retired after a career high payday (let alone an insane payday like Conor will be getting which will likely be the 4th biggest payday in the history of boxing & maybe even 3rd if he didn't get too f#cked over by the UFC in their split & this fight breaks the current PPV record & then some) in a fight they won.

A LOT OF INSECURE BOXING FANS are shook about Conor destroying boxing in one night. The boxing community is a very jealous and envious community, and they will be embarrassed when an MMA fighter destroys one of boxings best within 2 rounds. Floyd goes to sleep in the 1st or 2nd.

He has 0 chance to win. And if he pulls off a miracle he will come to boxing full time because getting UFC money isn't going to interest him anymore.

The only people laughing are Floyd and Conor in fooling the dummies to buy this exhibition match between a boxer and a novice amateur boxer.

You know what, you are right about it. People who don't watch boxing knows that it is one of the most corrupt sports in the world. They also know, that they (most of the time) dislikes, that guy Floyd Mayweather.

True, but most casuals don't care. And honestly, casuals is important to me. The more popularity the sport gains, the easier watching fights will be. I'm from Denmark, the only way I can watch this fight live is to stream it. None of our channels have bought it (as far as I know yet.). That why I believe that if our king is to beheaded, it is very important that it is one of our own to do it. So he can carry on the torch. Conor will just leave an empty vacuum in boxing, should he win.

Yeah this is a first for MMA. Finally a fighter is earning, somewhat what he deserves. Right? I'm a fan of the fighters earning the money.

              Let's be honest:

              1) boxing doesn't have a lot of hardcore fans.
              2) most people within boxing don't even like Mayweather so would be happy that he got humiliated.
              3) it's probably never going to happen anyway because reality will be setting in when; Paulie Malignaggi is beating his ass in sparring lol.

Yea. You know one of the funny things about this fight is I think if Floyd were to lose I think more BOXING fans will be happy it happened then boxing fans upset or sad lol.

True, but most casuals don't care. And honestly, casuals is important to me. The more popularity the sport gains, the easier watching fights will be. Casual boxing fans are important I agree. I mean I think almost everyone here likely was a casual fan before they become a guy posting on a boxing forum on a daily, weekly or whatever basis.

But idk about the "if our king is beheaded" thing is legit. Idk that Floyd is our king anymore since he's been out of the game for 2 years. I think the kingdom of boxing is kingless currently with Canelo & Joshua being the warlords with the most power right now. Sure the old king came come back into the scene & garner massive attention, but Conor McGregor isn't the type of guy a current king fights. At least not in a 147lb or 154lb division with the caliber of guys currently there. This is a circus fight. This is Ali vs Inoki or Lyle Alzado, this is Holmes vs Butterbean, this isn't a serious fight even if Floyd were to lose.

Yeah this is a first for MMA. Finally a fighter is earning, somewhat what he deserves. Right? I'm a fan of the fighters earning the money.
I think the UFC/MMA could maybe pay cats more, but I do think thats a different model than boxing so its not gonna work like boxing does first off. And the thing people like to ignore while saying the UFC should be paying guys more is that the MMA leagues that did pay fighters more went outta business. So without seeing the accounting books idk for a fact that the UFC could pay guys more without potentially going out of business & then no one is getting paid.

And I mean go legit look at the things the UFC does to promote fighters. It makes sense they get paid more then boxing promoters. Boxing promoters barely promote fighters anymore & they virtually never do side programming for non-PPV fights. The UFC does side programming for every single show they put on. They have a reality show where guys make it into the UFC. They got a new show where guys fight on a non-UFC card with Dana White watching & can potentially earn a UFC contract. The UFC has a product & fighters simply being able to say they are a UFC fighter has value for them & have value for them in other leagues if they don't prove able to stay in the UFC.

So its easy to dog them & say they aren't paying people enough, but they do more for fighters than any boxing promoter ever has to build up a fighter (in boxing you gotta do it yourself to get very far most of the time) & the guys who did just throw out money couldn't sustain their own accounting books to still be around.

A lot of experts, boxig and bussiness experts in here that knows how things should go... wow... anywaus, this is the forst time I want Floyd to win, only to give us the satisfaction to be better than MMA if only in one night... I dislike that savage sport... nothing like the sweet science and the beauty innit's brutality... I will be watching this fight! Oh yes! Do I think there is a chance in hell Mayweather loses? Of course not! Will it be competitive? NO! But there will be so mich electricity and anticipation in the air... one of those fights that any punch is accompanied by an "aaahhhhww" I think Mayweather took this fight to break Marciano's record easily and retire with a KO... I might be wrog about the KO but you guys are not taking another thing into account... even if Connor wins the first 4 rounds... let's just say that for the sake of argument, there is no way in hell he makes it to the 12th round standig... these MMA guys do not have the stamina, I know that their fighting style uses more energy... but can't compare an athelte like Floyd that has boxed since he was a Kid to Conor, who probably saw one of the hundreds of UFC's videos and decided he was going to become a fighter...
But hey, why is Mayweather kissing Dana White's a** all of a sudden any chance he gets?
I thinks this will be fun, it will be fun to see the speed difference, the difference in fluidity, seein Mcgregor gas out, Mayweather punishing him until he just can't take no more...
I think conor will come out agressive gasing himself out by the forth.
I don't think I'm a sucker for watching the fight, I know it wont be conpetitive, that's now why I'll be watching
