Exactly. No way he would've agreed to 147 anyways.

      Because 154 doesn't suit McGregor better, he'd be a zombie at 147

My biggest question is now he will handle Floyd's constant holding, will he get frustrated like Jr. wants him to or can he keep his cool to try and stick to his gameplan.
In the end it will be a UD for Floyd, hopefully he cashes the check and pays his damn taxes this time.
Bare in mind that hes never fought anyone with the accuracy and timing of Mayweather, and 10oz gloves will only make him slower compared to his usual 4oz. I doubt Mayweather is going to play the holding game with McGregor, hes much bigger than Floyd and physically stronger if anything it'll suit him better.

There's no way connar has the stamina to last 12 fast rounds . Especially with heavier gloves on than usual . He's gonna gas hard

Will still watch it but it's a nonsense fight . Easy money
This is what I think, pro boxers have to build up to 12 rounds over a couple of years, only a select few like Loma and Rigo could jump straight into 12 rounders and that's after 400 amateur fights. I highly doubt McGregor can jump straight into a 12 rounder effectively despite his MMA background, they're two different sports. If Mayweather can stay sharp for 12 rounds to even half of the level he could against Berto then McGregor is in for a rude awakening, literally his only chance is a lucky punch.

Yeah exactly, arguing about the nuances like glove weight is only relevant when one of the fighters actually stands a chance. It'll be ring size next.

Like anyone will be thinking after this fight, if only mcgregor had punchers gloves he could have won that.

He looked like the angel of death when he last made 145 pounds and that was a couple years ago. He's put on muscle since then... We already know what the excuse would be if this was at 147 pounds. Even Schaub said he thought Floyd gave him leeway on allowing him to make 154...

Mayweather better beat the shyt out of this guy making excuses already when he was begging for this to go down.

Plus if you watch Connor in UFC he has a little GGG in him where he will take some shots to deliver his own. Different sport but I think he will go in with that mindset.
Jr. is not knocking this guy out, i can promise you that.

When you're taking punches to land punches or involved in a tear up were you're having success of your own you're mentally able to take more punishment and not feel the pain.

It's totally different if you're missing constantly and getting repeatedly tagged clean without having any success of your own, it becomes so demoralising your brain makes it hurt more.

Look at the wars gatti was in against Ward and pretty much his whole career, he used to embrace the pain and beckon it on, his expression against floyd was total anguish.

Mcgregor might start off thinking mayweathers punches are nothing but the frequency in which he's hit and made to miss will make change his mind. Maybe not in a concussive way, but in a way like a wasp consecutively stinging his bell end and he'll be wishing floyd had ko power to end it all without him having to quit.

                crazy

Mayweather should absolutely fool the public

                I said this all along

Mayweather should fight McGregor in an octagon, wearing 4oz gloves..... but, under boxing rules

we can argue over whether this fight is a hard sell, but..... it sure as hell would sell better if they fought in an octagon wearing 4oz gloves, no question

                the casuals would be enthralled.....

oh wow, the octagon is Conor-territory, and 40z gloves are Conor-territory...... NOW it is an even fight..... NOW Mayweather is getting KTFO

but in truth..... the ring changes nothing, and the 4oz gloves benefit Mayweather

it would seem more fair, whilst being only an illusion of fairness

Conor can wear whatever he wants, he can wear horseshoes, or he can have a radar fitted to his gloves..... he couldn't hit Mayweather with a handful of rice..... and Mayweather's precision accuracy would be brutal with 4oz, even his jab would be punishing..... he would have no problem keeping Conor honest and keeping Conor off him

maybe that is why Conor never jumped at the chance

this is Floyd's world, he will be able to do whatever he wants

the reasons/methods he used to clinch will not change
