Honestly it's almost like foreign fighters are being deliberately warned that they ain't wanted. IMO Smith made absolutely the right decision. On the last part though, we can totally agree - the tournament would absolutely be better with Haymons top SMW talent participating, not to mention Zurdo, of course. Damn shame that Uncle Al and Grandpa Bob seem to think they got more important business to attend to.Comment

Wow! Super series for the win! i despise eubank but he is stepping up, kinda exposes promoters when a tournament is the only way to get the top dogs togetherComment

David Benavidez is not a foreigner and is with Haymon. If you were a foreign fighters manager or promoter wouldn't the shameless robbery of Golub or the ridiculous scorecards for Easter make you think twice? The Uzcategui DQ and subsequent assault wouldn't make you think perhaps it's not such a great idea? **** it ain't like home cooking is anything new, but I don't recall so many egregious examples in so short a space of time before.

Well. I'm not gonna argue that - I'll be picking Benavidez to obliterate Anthony - and quite likely Mundo too, but that is a different point entirely. Why would Smith walk into the lion's den when he's seen that it's entirely possible that not even a KO will get him the win? The guy's got a lucrative, high profile opportunity in the WBSS and more importantly one in which he's not almost guaranteed to get stiffed on the slightest pretext.Comment

That's why you would do something like that.Comment

Ummm. Well yeah. Or you could be swept into the dustbin like Golub or Relikh. Callum doesn't have a high enough profile to be afforded any kind of protection and these recent robberies are above and beyond, man. Smith has a good chance to earn universal respect with the WBSS without a high likelihood of getting a win stolen out from under him. Massive credit to Spence for coming to the UK though.Comment
