I agree. And EVERYONE knows I used to be a huge Andre Dirrell fan... I actually feel bad for him because he wanted to get up and fight. And ALL boxers hear is get UP! GET UP!!!!

Not insulting any authors on here, but why were things phrased previously where it was originally a thread about Smith and Dirrell both out because Dirrell refused to get onboard with WBSS. Now Smith is onboard and Dirrell has confirmed himself out.

Smith is supposed to just put his career on hold indefinitely waiting for Dirrell to decide where and when he wants to fight? They had been ****ed around for a long time before, the final straw was the Dirrells (post signing contracts to fight in LA) trying to change the venue and date again.

Dirrell could easily have signed up for WBSS and their fight would have been a first round match.

Callum hasnt done anything to lose respect from what i can see. Dirrell flipped and flopped and Smith decided he wanted to enter a tourney that guaranteed him dates and could see him facing two of his biggest rivals in the UK (Groves and Eubanks). It makes perfect sense financially and competitively.

Yeah but Smith has to be the ONLY one to honor contracts. Dirrells flip flop on contracts like they do in the ring.

They wont even honor their contracts. Changing that sht last minute... What next??? Smith has to fight one hand behind his back??? Or both Dirrells get to take turns between rounds fighting him???

When Benavidez steps in and whips Dirrell in Flint he will deserve more respect than Callum Smith.

And James Degale will deserve more respect than Smith too.

This should make things a bit clearer in terms of how many times the date and venue was changed.

Perfectly justifiable decision imo. He cant just keep going into camp spending money and having the rug pulled over and over. WBSS presented an opportunity for him to fight other top SMWs in a settled tournament format. Dirrell could have joined also if he backed himself.
