So what if he lost to the P4P #1

GGG would of got beat even worse.i would of bet at least $10k+++ on Ward against GGG. His team was smart turning down Ward.
ggg had to protect the 10 million payday from canelo
someone needs to ask kovalev or his manager about the world boxing series... he said making 175 was getting hard

This is Karma biting Kathy Duva in the ass for screwing Tyson Fury out of his IBF title. The negative snowball effect on her promotion has been downhill since. Glazkov & Kovalev paying the price.

Cotto took their money, now Ward. I wonder how much money Roc Nation Sports has lost so far in the boxing business.
... Miguel Cotto's side of the deal got the lion's share of the money from Cotto-Alvarez, so not sure what you're talking about (an event that's been said to have done anywhere from 700k-1m PPV buys, depending on what you believe)

Ward-Kovalev 1 netted at least $5m on PPV, plus almost $3.4m at the gate, before you even start counting international TV/sponsors/merch and other revenues (even if you split the entire pot 50/50 with Main Events, Ward's side cleared $4m-$5m on the event), and Ward-Kovalev II likely puts at least another $5m on their books as well.

Golden Boy Promotions has shown, once again, that all a company needs is one fighter to launch; if Ward unifies the belts and continue to stake his claim as #1 p4p, the sports world continues to turn to him for athlete's perspective on the big fights and his fights, and Ward doesn't turn heel, the money will manifest itself.

Whether the PPV audience comes is up for debate, Ward is positioned to be a live draw if he keeps coming with the good fights

This thread is about ward vs kovalev ticket sales...some idiot brought ggg into it cuz he couldn't say anything positive about ward's drawing power.

Roc Nation's Strategy: Get skin in the game as a new boxing promoter, and spend money to do it. Start letting our name resonate in the boxing world.

I find it funny how so many people can be duped into believing that Roc Nation's goal was to turn Ward into a cash cow.

If u believe that, then u probably believe in Santa Clause.

Nobody. That's why he can't draw flies to shit.

Let's see which "best fighters" he fights next. I don't think any of them will touch him with a barge pole after seeing Kovalev get cheated twice and earn fuck all in the process .. except maybe Bellew. But Bellew is insane.

No thanks, I'll pass. Andre Ward assaulting your eyes while Max Kellerman assaults your ears has to be the worst one-two punch in all sports or entertainment. I'll pass on supporting blatant wide open corruption.

Hey didn't Bob Bennett of the Nevada State Athletic Commission say on live TV that if Rigondeaux's punch was after the bell, they would change it to a disqualification? Well Rigondeaux's punch was after the bell, but they still haven't disqualified him have they? And he's another Roc Nation boxer, just like Ward. Not that I wanted to see Rigo DQ'd, but I'm just saying, they only enforce the rules when it benefits the house promoter. Even when they've blatantly stated the rules on live TV, they still won't enforce them if it doesn't serve Roc Nation. I'm not supporting that crap anymore, and I suggest other real boxing fans don't support it either.
