That's an interesting question that is muddled by the WBA awarding two titles in each weight class. While the winner of this tournament will walk away with the WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO titles, the WBA belt in the tournament is the secondary title as Lebedev is the Super champion and the primary WBA titlist. So technically I would say no.

With that said, if the Golovkin/Canelo winner unified with BJS, would that make an undisputed champion even though N'Dam would still hold the secondary WBA title? Dufferent situation than the one at cruiserweight but still a worthy question.

Fun times in the world of the WBA.

F#ck titles. You are THE CHAMPION off of your resume, who you've beaten & whoever wins that 200lb tournament is THE CHAMPION.

I welcome anything from anybody to make boxing great again. Rid this sport of inactive fighters in their prime. Doe.

Let's do it Schaefer. Show them how to do it.

Oh I agree 100%. I was just thinking out loud in terms of the "undisputed" tag.

F#ck "undisputed" too. Its impossible to be your own man in this boxing world & make the best decisions for yourself & the fans + be a abc group f#ckboy to keep all 4 major titles. I mean look at some of the garbage opponents Klitschko was forced to fight to keep all the belts for as long as he was able to keep them.

We do have Crawford-Indongo official for all 4 belts and we have 4 belts officially in this cruiserweight tournament. Plus Ward and the Canelo/Golovkin winner will hold 3 of 4 belts.

I looked up the Hopkins/Taylor reigns with all 4 belts and there was a WBA regular champion under them so a secondary WBA titlist doesn't prevent undusputed status.

Has the IBF held off on the Lipinets situation?

And like I said f#ck belts & "undisputed" still. Crawford vs Indongo is the fight to decide the champion of the division cuz they won the fights & are now the top 2 guys in the division (although there is already the argument Crawford is the champion since the Postol fight when they were the top 2 by a mile). And Ward is the champion at 175 right now regardless how many belts he has or how much Stevenson suddenly tries to become relevant again. And Canelo vs GGG will decide the champion at 160 despite BJS's do nothing ass or anyone else in the division.
