Are they just going with those 6 or they're looking to add more guys to jump in? Mike Perez, Andrew Tabiti would be nice if those guys are willing. Not sure if Tabiti is ready for this level of Competition though!

1. Usyk vs. 8. Wlod
2. Briedis vs. 7. Huck
3. Gassiev vs. 6. Kudryashpv
4. Dorticos vs. 5. Glowacki

Then I think Briedis will be no.2, he'll look to rematch Huck, and why not? He beat him easily the first time and Huck is past his prime.
Gassiev will be third and I think he'll take either Kudryashov or Glowacki. Seeing as how Kudryashov is a fellow Russian, he could go with Glowacki.
I'm not sure where Dorticos would rank. He's ranked 9th by TBRB but he's now been upgraded to WBA champ with Shumenov announcing his retirement. I assume he'll get the 4th spot just by being a champ, and if that's the case he'll get whoever is left.

NBC would be cool. My assumption is it'll be on Showtime, but the wider the reach of whoever airs it the better so I'm hoping I'm wrong.

The mismatches started, when he was seperated from GBP and subsequently barred from being involved with boxing. Schaefer is one of the few promotors who still knows how to promote.
Of course, that all continued even after he left, so maybe that was always Al's decision, not his. Wilder still hasn't fought anyone and GRJ hasn't either since the Lomachenko loss, so it's hard to blame Schaefer. But the matchups under him were NOT good at all. Showtime had one decent year under him and a bunch of awful ones, but even that one year is extremely overrated simply because people remember Maidana-Broner at the end of the year and that colors their perception on an otherwise ****ty year.

What's the time table on when this thing is supposed to end? I ask because with Ward expressing interest in fighting at cruiserweight, the winner would clearly be a very attractive opponent. I doubt Ward would wanna enter the tourney. But I know he'll be keeping an eye on the results.
