OK say you're right. That's like comparing a donkey to mule. Canelo isn't much faster. Mayweather made him look slow as hell. Even Khan's speed game him problems. So although you might technically be right, it's not by much. There, that should make you feel better.

Mayweather is an all time great and Canelo was still raw. Not saying that if they fought now Canelo would win I'm just stating facts. Does anybody on here really think Canelo is going to stalk Golovkin? I mean I understand Hopkins motives. He should be promoting Canelo. Still his reasons for Canelo beating Golovkin are suspect. Golovkin is not just a power puncher, he's a skilled boxer. True Canelo is faster and he's going to get to Golovkin. "This is boxing Max" But if Canelo hits him and Golovkin isn't impressed it will be business as usual. It should be an interesting match up and hopefully it's a competitive one.

I agree he's still a top contender. The problem I have with Kovalev is how he handled both losses. It says a lot about a fighter when they make all these excuses for why they lost rather than accept the fact that he lost. I don't think he acted like the top fighter he is in the second fight in the way he handled the low blows. I don't think he was fully prepared for a fighter he knew would make the fight rough and use the advantages Ward used against him. He's still a top fighter but I worry how he will handle himself when he's faced with mental pressure.

We will see on fight night who has the better skills and stamina, Canelo is fighting someone at their natural weight, which wasn't the case with Khan and Chavez, Chavez was so depleted he was a shadow of himself and Canelo wasn't able to KO him, GGG would have KO'd him by the 5th rd.
