and he never returned...
I'm not posting on NSB until Loma fights good opponent

So age is your excuse now? Tyson was a world champion at 20 years old, fought everyone, and didn't have anywhere near the amateur career that Floyd had. Floyd had over 100 amateur fights, yet look at who he fought for his 9 pro fight...a guy who was 1-13-1. No doubt you'd be all over Loma if his 9th opponent had that kind of record. Fast forward to Floyd's 24th fight and his opponent had a 22-16-4 record. You going to allow Loma to get away with that for his 24th fight? Fast forward to Floyd's 37th fight and his opponent was 43-9-6...will Loma get the same pass from the race-baiters like you?See what I mean? Floyd didn't hand pick each of his opponents because he did IYO in those 4 cases.
Calling it race bait to avoid it is the same tactics I pointed out before. I am asking you directly why the difference in opinion.
Look at the difference in ages when they started as pros.
Why are you even bringing Floyd into this thread anyway? You manage to puke his name out of your mouth in every thread. Is your life that desperate and empty that you've dedicated it to defending Mayweather even when no one is talking about him?
I presented some facts as to why Loma isn't fighting any of the names mentioned by the OP. Floyd did indeed hand-pick his opponents. Haymon had Thurman, Garcia, Porter and Khan under his control could easily have made those fights for Floyd. Hell, Floyd himself asked fans to vote for his next opponent...Maidana or Khan, and they voted in favor of Khan, but Floyd CHOSE Maidana instead. The guy Khan already beat. GTFO with your race-bait, Floyd c*cksucking routine.Comment

Do you really believe Loma doesn't want to fight Rigo? Of course he wants to fight him. But both fighters are going to want big money and where's the money supposed to come from? And I'm not even a Loma fan. I'm just keeping it real with you because we've seen this sort of situation in the past. Arum needs to try and tap into Haymons stable of fighters. If fighter has to spend his prime years on fighting Marriaga or having 2 fights in a year against Piriyapinyo caliber of opponents, then **** the way how that business side works, it doesn't suit me in any way, shape or form. It suits me only when I see competitive fights. Tell me how the **** I'm ignoring it? How the fact that fighters with a lot of potential like Rigondeaux or Lomachenko wasting their years can suit me?Comment

I don't disagree with that but I don't know where the money for a Rigo fight is going to come from. He needs Haymons stable of fighters where he can come in as a B side fighter. Go to LA and fight the Mares', Santa Cruz' or maybe a Frampton or Shelby fight across the pond. This has some validity I wouldn't disagree, but I'd argue there are times when the business side makes more sense & times when it makes less sense & this to me is a time when the business angle makes less sense.
Loma COULD be a star in this game. But he needs the fights vs the tip top elite guys + names & he needs to be more active. I don't believe Top Rank has maximized Loma's abilities vs tip top + name guys nor his readiness to fight. Thats a problem when you are trying to get a almost 30 year old Ukrainian in the US in the sport of boxing known to the mainstream sports fan.Comment

Personally I don't think you post enough. You always have a different insight on certain things and have made me look at things differentlyDavis, Garcia, Linares, Rigo, Berchelt, Corrales etc
That's most disappointing news in boxing now. **** Arum, Salido or anybody responsible for that. They make Loma wasting his prime years. A lot of people love to see Loma talent getting ruined like that but I'm not one of them. He could fight Marriaga 3-4 years later when hes out of prime BUT NOT NOW. Marriaga, Sosa...thats basically Walters leftovers...Lomachenko has to fight leftovers of his own leftover...Plus Usyk.might not join this CW tournament...**** that is too depressing. Arum doesn't give a **** about Lomachenko, he's gonna waste his potential, you better forget about Lomachenko he shouldn't be in any p4p lists at this pointComment

The problem is that Mikey, Linares, Davis, Rigo, Coralles aren't with Top Rank and are promoted by GB, TMT, Roc Nation, and Mikey with Showtime. There's is no way Arum would put Loma in with those fighters. He wouldn't want to pay those fighters without them giving Arum options on future fights in the case they beat Loma. The question is would Arum allow Loma to face those guys if their promoter was putting up the money and asked for options on Loma? Would Arum allow Loma to fight Mikey on Showtime with him co promoting with Shaffer or DiBella? Loma's gonna be fighting in house fights or against fighters who are promoted by small companies who will give Arum options on their fighter.Like I said in the other thread, I will join in the criticism of Team Lomachenko if he fights another showcase level opponent after Marriaga.
I promise I will.
But here's what's going on. The reality whether we like it or not. Bob is just beginning this new platform -- this new ESPN/Top Rank venture. THIS fight in particular, is purely a showcase. He wants to introduce Lomachenko to all the non-hardcore fight fans who wouldn't get premium cable channels just for boxing, but will watch if it's on ESPN. He wants it to be a showcase. Thus Marriaga. Davis/Garcia/Linares/Rigo are all big fights. Mikey already has a fight lined up (and doesn't Davis too?). If it were to be Linares or Rigondeaux...I don't see how it's possible to get a contract done and having a fight of that magnitude take place just some THIRTY-FIVE days from now. It's not possible.
Like I said, I will reserve judgment, because I get this from a business standpoint. It's natural to want to showcase Lomachenko here to a largely new audience.
We'll see what happens next. If dude fights another Marriaga/Sosa level guy then I'll be the first motherf**ker on here questioning Team Lomachenko. I swear.Comment

Definitely not. The guy asked for a title shot as soon as possible, that was the part of his contract with Top Rank, he faced Salido in his second fight, so I'm not blaming him for "ducking" or some other ****. I don't like calling fighters ducks, because they don't have upper hand in making decisions and we don't know 90% of the stuff behind the scenes. I just don't like this whole situation when a talented fighter can't face a better challenge and nobody can do anything about it. We all know there's a lot of options would be better than Marriaga for ESPN debut. Crawford has much better fight on the horizon. The stuff that Top Rank is doing giving Lomachenko haters more opportunities for disrespect. You won't see the end of these threads about Lomachenko ducking Rigo now and you can't say it's not deserved. You have to make some moves to show people you're not scared and Top Rank was hesitating in this situation and made his own fighter look bad in the result. Salido wasn't reliable option from the start, they were supposed to have plan B in case Salido fight isn't happeningDo you really believe Loma doesn't want to fight Rigo? Of course he wants to fight him. But both fighters are going to want big money and where's the money supposed to come from? And I'm not even a Loma fan. I'm just keeping it real with you because we've seen this sort of situation in the past. Arum needs to try and tap into Haymons stable of fighters.
Man that's because 80% of NSB is dumb as ****. I don't want to spend my energy on bashing fanbases of fighters I don't like or some other ****** **** that NSB posters doing on daily basis here, I see no point in it. I don't dislike a lot of fighters and I don't pick sides - Canelo/GGG, Floyd/Pac, **** that. Arguing in heated debates about the outcome of upcoming fights, that's not for me too, I'll see the result when it happens. If I have something to say, I don't bite the tongue.Last edited by g27region; 06-30-2017, 12:54 PM.Comment
