This has some validity I wouldn't disagree, but I'd argue there are times when the business side makes more sense & times when it makes less sense & this to me is a time when the business angle makes less sense.

Loma COULD be a star in this game. But he needs the fights vs the tip top elite guys + names & he needs to be more active. I don't believe Top Rank has maximized Loma's abilities vs tip top + name guys nor his readiness to fight. Thats a problem when you are trying to get a almost 30 year old Ukrainian in the US in the sport of boxing known to the mainstream sports fan.

If fighter has to spend his prime years on fighting Marriaga or having 2 fights in a year against Piriyapinyo caliber of opponents, then **** the way how that business side works, it doesn't suit me in any way, shape or form. It suits me only when I see competitive fights. Tell me how the **** I'm ignoring it? How the fact that fighters with a lot of potential like Rigondeaux or Lomachenko wasting their years can suit me?

It's not as though anyone is in a big hurry to fight him either. Floyd won't let Davis anywhere near him even though Davis is a title holder with twice as many pro fights. Rigo has been talking catch weights for two years and prices himself out of fights, Garcia just jumped to 140 to fight Broner, Linares is at 135, Corrales and Salido turned down an offer to fight Loma, and Berchelt has a mandatory versus Miura next month.

It's not easy to make fights when opponents don't want to fight. They can say they want to fight, but if they price themselves out or move out of the weight class it's difficult to take them seriously.

720K that is what Salido turned down. The blame is on Salido.. Loma had a date scheduled. On short notice this is not a bad opponent. Rigo just talks on twitter. Has he even phoned top rank? Given his price? No. You suckers juice all this up buying this twitter BS Loollll

I suspect Arum is building towards a Loma/Valdez fight and this is a fall back/stay busy opponent after Salido got all diva.

Did Rigo turn down the fight? Was he even legit offered the fight?
That I don't know. But Arum and Rigo aren't really on working terms ever since he knocked off his future potential cash cow.

Funny but when stuff like this was happening to Floyd, you blamed him. Now you blame everyone but Loma.

Remember the other day when I was telling you how you do the exact same thing the alt right, white power racists do. This is a perfect example of what I mean.

Come on dude. You find no fault with Loma or his team?

No one was ducking Floyd, and I mean no one. Floyd was allowed to hand pick each of his opponents, and instead of fighting Thurman, Garcia, Porter, Brook, Khan, he chose Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana and Berto.

Get off the d!ck with that race-bait nonsense Dunce. Loma is a different beast from Floyd. Look at the names on Loma's resume thus far as opposed to Floyd in their first nine fights.

But here's what's going on. The reality whether we like it or not. Bob is just beginning this new platform -- this new ESPN/Top Rank venture. THIS fight in particular, is purely a showcase. He wants to introduce Lomachenko to all the non-hardcore fight fans who wouldn't get premium cable channels just for boxing, but will watch if it's on ESPN. He wants it to be a showcase. Thus Marriaga. Davis/Garcia/Linares/Rigo are all big fights. Mikey already has a fight lined up (and doesn't Davis too?). If it were to be Linares or Rigondeaux...I don't see how it's possible to get a contract done and having a fight of that magnitude take place just some THIRTY-FIVE days from now. It's not possible.

Like I said, I will reserve judgment, because I get this from a business standpoint. It's natural to want to showcase Lomachenko here to a largely new audience.

We'll see what happens next. If dude fights another Marriaga/Sosa level guy then I'll be the first motherf**ker on here questioning Team Lomachenko. I swear.
                      This ^^^^

Except Davis, Floyd has said he won't rush him towards Loma yet rest all are damn good fights..
